"Whenever I become aware of any form of lack of peace, I always trace it back to my mind.

While the mind seems to be misidentified with the ego, the ego always suggests that all of the upsets and emotions are caused by the world. This only keeps you in a false sense of victimhood.

You can initially start where you are, acknowledging that something in the world seems to be causing this emotion within you. What thoughts are in your awareness that are underneath these emotions.

Okay, you see the thoughts. What is it that is being believed underneath these thoughts?

Now that you have seen the underlying fear thoughts and beliefs, you can see the underlying split desire of the ego underneath all of these. For example: I am desiring their behaviour to be different from how it is now for me to be happy and peaceful.

You can begin to see how the mind is misaligning with the ego's purpose of assigning peace to a future outcome or their behaviour changing, rather than just desiring peace in this moment.

You want to come back to a singular desire for peace, for the Peace of God. But the mind first has to look at all of the split desires of the ego that it desires more than peace. This is for the purpose of seeing these split desires as false.

What is an example of a split desire? I will be happy and peaceful when my friend's behaviour changes. I will be happy and peaceful when the temperature is hotter or cooler. I will be happy when I improve myself in the future and know more intellectually.

It is always your present decision to misidentify with the ego in your mind. That is the sole cause of all temporal upsets or happiness attributed to the world. It was never in the world, and this revelation is an absolute joy.

The experience of consistent Peace, Happiness, and unconditional Love that is available now as your very Being in Christ is what this is all for. The experience of the Kingdom within is no small gift." Dylan, One Silent Mind

Just as the ancient Christian saints and mystics did, our purpose is to move beyond the intellectual understanding of God into an Experience of Inner Peace and a Heart full of His Love through a renewed mind in Christ.

We are dedicated to pointing you toward a simple, profound truth: your inner suffering is not caused by the world, but by valuing “the voice of the adversary” over the Holy Spirit; valuing the voice that speaks against God and your Peace in God rather than the Voice that Speaks for your true Self in Christ.

Unlike the religious pharisee’s, who appeared good on the outside but were dead within, we point to allowing belief to blossom into experiential Fruits of the Spirit, “for even the devil believes.” James 2:19. We point to the experience of a renewal of mind through the Holy Spirit, so you experientially know your Identity in Christ and Experience Him throughout every moment of your daily experience.

One Silent Mind is a community devoted to living the teachings of Jesus Christ. The consistent, experiential inward Fruits of the Spirit are what Represents Christ to all those who do not currently believe. Some may never see Him, but they may see Him through you. “By their fruit you will recognize them,” Matthew 7:16 says. Just as it has been said in John 15:4 to, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me,” we are being called in Matthew 24:13 to be, “The one who stands firm to the end will be saved.“

Dylan teaches that through prayer and the Holy Spirit’s Wisdom, one learns to withdraw their investment in the “voice of the adversary” completely to place devotion correctly and fully in God.

We do not seek to change the world; we seek the grace to realise that the Peace of God is already available, awaiting only your surrender of self and acceptance of Self in Christ.

"How often do you find yourself rushing through the day—through your entire life, even—clinging to the belief that some future goal will finally grant you happiness?

The great deceiver in mind councils to you, "If only I can get this done, then I can rest; then I can be at peace." Yet, as soon as that goal is reached, the ego dangles another carrot before you. Before you realise it, the earthly experience has reached its finale.

In that moment of clarity, you might say to yourself, "I see now it was all just a dance. I cannot take anything material with me, yet this is what I put all of my effort towards my entire life." The secret was to abide in the joy of the movement itself—to embrace every step of the dance without the anxiety of what came "before" or what lies "after" this moment.

The ego is the denial of the now. The devil is the denial of God. Yet, the present moment is the only experience there is. The adversary’s purpose within the mind is to project your inherent peace and joy onto some distant worldly goal, keeping you distracted.

Distracted from what? The Present. The presence of the Divine.

The Joy, the Love, and the Peace that are not attached to any worldly object are always available right here, right now. There is nowhere to rush to when one dwells in Him. Everything you sought through frantic striving in the world was always a present experience within you—as the very essence of your Being in Him.

There, in a gentle surrender, you are called to shine. Forget the previous steps and the ones yet to come; simply become the dance itself. In the gentle embrace of this moment lies the fullness of the Truth: it has always been about the joy of the movement, rather than rushing through the song only to realise that you forgot to dance." "Inquiring into the experience of the fear of judgement, you can recognise that the ego in mind will fear what it does itself.

The fear of judgement never rests on what others will actually think of you, but with the voice of the devil judging others judging itself.

Establishing that what is perceived and what is felt emotionally is an effect of what is thought and believed in mind, allows you to raise the underlying fearful, judgemental thoughts and beliefs to doubt for an immediate result of peace.

When you give your mind's power over to the seeming ego and value its unloving thoughts arising in awareness, giving it a reality, you then seem to take on responsibility for the voice of the devil and mistake its judgemental thoughts as your own.

You then seem to experience the effects of these thoughts, which are often experienced as unloving emotions and fearful perceptions of the world, as it projects false meaning onto the world to distract away from your value in it on the level of the mind.

It is these thoughts and your value in the voice of the great deceiver that must be brought to the Holy Spirit. Only through the Holy Spirit, can you be shown what is of value and what is not of value, so that you can withdraw value in what is valueless and place value correctly in what is of All Value." "The latter part of this life, for me, has been dedicated to getting really vulnerable, and then questioning with the Holy Spirit all of the upsets and experiences of lack of peace that I would seem to experience day-to-day. What I realised is that what is felt emotionally, what is perceived, and what is done comes from what is thought and believed in mind.

Perception is an inroad into emotion, emotion is an inroad into thought, thought is an inroad to belief, and belief is an inroad to the core desire or prayer of the heart. I was being shown that everything stemmed from or started with the mind...
..It was here that I understood why we are encouraged to “take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ," 2 Corinthians 10:5 and why it is important to be “transformed by the renewing of your mind." Romans 12:2

As you begin to get in touch with the thoughts of the adversary and your belief or attraction to it in mind, you get to the core desire or prayer of the heart: what do you want to experience moment-to-moment?

Desire, as a stepping-stone, is either singular (for the Peace of God) or split (for something other than the Peace of God, which is lack of peace). Why did Jesus say, "Let thine eye be single?" Matthew 6:22 Let your desire, your prayer of the heart, your focus or attention be single because a split desire for something other than peace must, by divine logic, result in a lack of peace.
