I was presenting a workshop to a group of women last week and they asked me for a simple tip to manage our anxiety and low mood.

One of my simplest tips is once you are aware that you're anxious or blue is asking yourself these 3 questions
What can I do right now?
What can I do today?
What can I do this week that will help me to Manage this better?

So today I had to ask myself the same questions! My answers
Stop and take a breath and tell myself , I'm going to be ok.
Go for a walk in the reserve this evening.
Prioritise catching up with my good friend this weekend.

When we are aware that stuffs going mad we can slow it down and get some management back. Ask yourself the questions and see what ideas come to mind.

Anyone else feeling the gut stirring jolts from grateful to hōha to releived and then around we go again..... sometimes its such a challenge when we feel out of control, these are the times when we can practice our laser focusing skills.......”what can I control right now in this moment?”

Kia ngāwari te haere – here’s our little reminder to go easy on yourself and others. We’re all riding an emotional rollercoaster. It’s hard not knowing whether we’ll be up one minute or down the next. We all would like the outbreak to end and to be able to open our bubbles again. Kia kaha Aotearoa 💜

Are you a ruminator? 🧐 Thinking that same troubling thought over and over.......and over?
Rumination contributes to anxiety and low mood....the good news is we can do something to clear out the mind and create a little space by spending just a few minutes writing those thoughts down and getting them out. It's especially helpful at night when having trouble sleeping due to monkey mind.
So grab a notebook and pen, pop them next to your bed and write that s**t down!
Your mind will thank you for it. 🧠☮️
