Thinking Ahead

You have probably thought about your financial situation and made provision to protect your loved one’s future with insurances, and/or a will. You probably have similar contingencies in place for your house and car, in case the worst happened.

One thing we are not so good at is thinking ahead in case something happened to our health, be it an accident, or some sudden medical situation that might affect our ability to think or communicate. Once it has happened, it is often left to our family to argue over what treatment or other options you might prefer. We can have influence and a strong say in that, so that we are treated as we would like, so our beliefs are respected, and so that we are not adding to the stress of family members trying to second guess us.

And also we may have some other wishes about our 'end of life', our funeral wishes, organ donation, and so on, items not necessarily covered by a will.

My great friend, Monique Ballinger is a trained End of Life Doula and has some great advice (below) to help you and your family consider and prepare for what may come, so the below has been kindly provided by her:

I want to thank all those of you who have been able to continue to support me this year. Not everyone has been able to do so, for a host of reasons. Not least of which is that it is tough out there right now. So, hats off to you all, whatever your situation. This too shall pass, nothing is permanent.

I am still here doing what I do and loving it even more every day. No session is ever the same, and I’m always learning more and deepening my understanding of the energy body.

I’ve been very happy to establish my new clinic in Levin, primarily on Mondays, but also select other days of the week. I have a lovely group of clients building here.

Wherever you see me, know that I will continue to work with you there. Please spread the word if you know of someone who might benefit. You are my best advocates!

Eva Dalak - “Conflict arises where communication stops.

As soon as people mistrust each other or misunderstand what the other person, community, or tribe is saying, we stop communicating. But this miscommunication—and this disconnection from communication—is originally coming from the disconnect from our own self, from miscommunicating and not connecting to our own self. And seeking outside something that is actually inside, and trying to find someone or something to blame so that we can justify our response to that misunderstanding and miscommunication. And usually, this response is very violent.”

Really insightful 20 minute read. Well worth it!

Activating compassion in the midst of division.

‘Admit something:
Everyone you see, you say to them, "Love me."

Of course you do not do this out loud, otherwise
someone would call the cops.

Still, though, think about this, this great pull in us to connect.

Why not become the one who lives with a
full moon in each eye that is
always saying,

with that sweet moon language,
what every other eye in
this world is
dying to
hear?’

Pax Bodywork - Zero Balancing

Holistic bodywork therapy that eases pain and tension, clears your mind, and helps you feel more grounded. It often helps with physical issues like back and neck pain, pregnancy pelvic/hip/back pain, migraines, mental issues like stress, blocks or depression, emotional issues and neurological conditions.

This touch based therapy is done with you fully clothed sitting and laying on a therapy table. By applying acupressure, and gentle tension across your bones and joints your body is given the opportunity to re-balance itself. Afterwards people report feeling freer, straighter, refreshed and very calm.

I work from two locations in the Wellington region, and you can make bookings from the Book Now button on this page or by going to my website paxbodywork.co.nz

“ZB is incredible. As a skeptic I was never going to be easily convinced, however you can’t argue with the results. Rhys is very professional, listens carefully and achieves excellent outcomes with problem areas.” Recent client.
