Spreading my toes....trying too!

Getting some R n R even though it's windy...

My much needed sun and beach without expectations of anything other than resting.

My nervous system can feel more regulated and extremely tired.

πŸ₯± But this is a sign that it's much needed.

Actually crucial to wellbeing.

Crucial for healing.

It's a deeper resting state, than having a nap on the couch, or in bed.

I longed for more of these times... Now is the right moment, when it feels tiredness has been lurking for days.

Napping and laying on the Earth,

For now, sand,

Listening to the waves drown out mental chatter,

Stopping, for a moment or more to rest. Regulate.

Calling for some time out and some ease for the back, hips or legs?

Everything is connected!!!

Give this a go!

🫴 Glute, hip, and lower back stretch

Well it's NOT just a stretch, there is some contraction of both legs to deepen.

Awareness of alignment of your ankles, legs, and hips.

🧐 It calls you to be aware of how you are positioning your body, to tune into where there is tightness, where it refers, what else could be contributing, and to use your mind to focus on being present....

πŸ‘ŒUsing your breath, especially breathing longer out breaths. No need to complicate breathing.

πŸ‘Œ My experience is...

🫴 Being present with the body, building awareness with what is going on tells the body you are listening.

🫴 The signals of pain can quieten down because you are listening and taking the time to rest and release an area.

🫴 Can practice before or after legs up the wall

🫴 My upper back and neck gets to relax which is a bonus! Reminds me of how everything is connected.

🫴 The pelvis may be contributing to my sore neck and upper back.

Give it a go!! More than a few times over a few weeks.

FYI evenings or after school hours that I work are filled with clients who are booked ahead with their preferred time slot.

πŸ‘Œ Positives means regular work and consistency in work and income for me.

🫣 Unfortunately it also means I cannot offer these times to anyone else unless they have needed to change or cancel.

??? Why not work other evenings?
I need to personally balance yoga classes with massage, family time, rest, admin, other events, and to rebalance my own energies to be offering my services at my best!

😁 The other option is to book on a Saturday! (Not every Saturday is available)

Friendly reminder confirming a number of appointments ahead of time gives you the time that suits you best...

DO YOU FEEL.. At different times or maybe all at once? 🫣

Tired, 😩 fatigued, 🫩 sore back, upper back tension, πŸ˜” heavy or tired legs, 🦡 cloudy mind, neck tension, arm and shoulder tension, physically tired, stressed πŸ˜₯...

HAVE YOU TRIED THIS??

🫴 Viparita Karani - Legs up the wall

5-20 minutes

NO PHONE or laptop, just put on a timer on, silent mode πŸ“³ and lay down...

If your mind is really overstimulated you may need to do short bursts of about 5 minutes and build up over time.

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE:

- Getting into the position may take some practice!
Sit on the side and slowly come down on your side and flick legs up.

- When anxiety is present it can be challenging to lay down for longer periods.

- Times I either get some relief from any of the above issues mentioned or restore just a bit more energy to continue the day.

- Height variations under the hips adds to different experiences.

MUCH more to say here and many benefits may be had but...

YOU will have your own EXPERIENCE!

Can be practiced alone or at the end of a practice prep for relaxation, sleep or savasana.
