So when our fight, flight responses are activated and there is no real life threat, it's important to understand we can be activated, "triggered" by association or 'similar to' events, e,g certain smells, songs, people, situations real or imagined can have much the same response.
Our minds have learned to look for confirmation bias in many cases, and an emotional somatic loop is created and played over and over, keeping us in heightened states of fight/flight. Neuorception has kicked in and it does NOT have to be factual in it's evidence from it's unconscious surveillance. It misfires.
Imagine the effect on our body when we have adrenalin coarsing through our veins for hours at a time, that's gonna make us pretty damn exhausted and highly dysregulated.
