I often get asked about the KiwiSaver withdrawal process, so here’s a bit of transparency around how it works and how we help.
Our role is to guide and support you through the KiwiSaver withdrawal application. We help with understanding requirements, documentation, and the overall process.
👉 However, approval is never guaranteed. Final decisions always sit with your KiwiSaver provider.
A really important point to understand:
Around 99% of providers require a holding deposit or consultation fee before releasing quotes.
This is because there is a lot of mahi happening behind the scenes – assessments, admin, correspondence, and professional time.
That deposit or consultation fee is your commitment and confirmation that you intend to follow through.
Unfortunately, we’re seeing more cases where people request quotes (for things like weight-loss surgery or dental treatment) but then don’t proceed with the funding for the purpose stated in their application.
This is making the process harder for those who are genuinely trying to withdraw for better health and wellbeing.
Please also remember:
