🎨✨ Silver Festival at The Falls Estate ✨🌿

Our Mosaic Group is hard at work – just like many of our other craft groups – getting ready for the Silver Festival on Wednesday, 1 & 8 October.

🌸 The day begins with our Garden Tours at 11am.
☕ Afterwards, visitors are welcome to enjoy a cuppa and browse through our arts and crafts for sale.

It’s a wonderful chance to enjoy the gardens, support our talented residents, and take home something special.

We’re looking forward to seeing you there! 💛

Getting Out There Expo!

On Friday, some of our fabulous residents became models for the afternoon at the Getting Out There Expo. They looked absolutely gorgeous on the catwalk and made The Falls proud! Well done, Anne, Bev, Bronwyn, Cynthia, Joke & Joy, A special thank you to Gail & Judy who helped with our marketing stand on the day – your support was invaluable.

🌸 Falls Estate in Full Bloom! 🌸

On Saturday, some of our talented residents proudly displayed beautiful camellias from The Falls Estate at the Camellia Show – and we came home with some fantastic results! 🏆

We were thrilled to win the Conaghan Trophy for Most Points in the Decorative Section! 🎉

Our results:
🥈 First Prize – Dining Table Arrangement
🥇 Second Prize – Three Camellia Blooms in a Dish of Water
🥈 Second Prize – Camellia Arrangement in a Novelty Container

Another great presentation!

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming NorthAble to The Falls Estate for a fantastic presentation. Residents had the opportunity to explore some of the latest assistive products and everyday living aids designed to help make day-to-day tasks easier and more manageable.

From simple gadgets to clever tools, the presentation was both informative and inspiring—reminding us how the right support can make a big difference in maintaining independence and comfort at home.

Life at The Falls Estate

Everyone enjoys a good time, and this time was no different! The Village came together for a fun-filled Mid-Winter Christmas celebration, brilliantly organized by our newly elected
Residents Committee. We laughed at some truly extraordinary outfits, danced the night away, enjoyed delicious food – and then danced some more! I even had the pleasure of waltzing with one of our residents – what a fantastic night it was.

We were pleased to welcome His Worship the Mayor, Vince Cocurullo, along with Dave Palmer (Council Community Safety Officer) and Janice Maunder (Neighbourhood Support) to The Falls on Monday.

They spent time addressing residents' questions and concerns around community safety and support. It was a really interesting and informative session, and residents appreciated the opportunity to get clarity on several local matters.

A few things came to light that we weren’t previously aware of, and it’s great to now have a better understanding of some of the key issues affecting our wider community.

A big thank you to all who attended and to our guests for taking the time to visit us. 👏

Our residents came together for a fantastic evening filled with laughter, music, and plenty of green! 🎶💚 Dressed in their best St. Paddy’s attire, they enjoyed a lively sing-along, great company, and the warm spirit of the occasion.

Friday Feast at the Village Restaurant - La Dolce Vita! 🍽️🐑**

Last Friday, residents enjoyed a mouthwatering meal of delicious lamb shanks at the Village Restaurant - expertly prepared by . Slow cooked to perfection, the dish was tender, flavorful, and absolutely satisfying!

The Falls Estate’s First Mad Hatter’s Tea Party – A Whimsical Success!
Our very first Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for 2025 was a spectacularly fun-filled affair! With a touch of whimsy and plenty of laughter, residents gathered for an afternoon of games, giggles, and good company. Lucky winners from our games walked away with fabulous prizes, adding to the excitement of the day.
The light lunch was a delight, offering a tasteful selection of treats perfect for the occasion. Conversations flowed as easily as the tea, and the room was alive with chatter, smiles, and a shared sense of fun.
Adding to the magic, four enthusiastic residents have stepped up as volunteers to help host our monthly Mad Hatter’s Tea Parties. Each month, lucky house numbers will be drawn to extend a special invitation, ensuring that everyone has a chance to join in the merriment.
If this first event was anything to go by, we’re in for many more wonderfully whimsical gatherings ahead!
