Hands betray age. 4 ways to make them look younger
When compiling our anti-aging care, we concentrate on the skin of the face, neck and décolleté (we talked about how to properly care for it here), but very often we forget about the hands, although the skin of the hands is no less prone to aging. By nature, the skin on the hands is very thin and dry and has a minimal amount of sebaceous glands, which is why its protective barrier is very weak. From a lack of care, the first signs of aging on the hands can appear already by the age of 25, so you should think about it as early as possible. In our material, we talk about effective life hacks that will help keep the skin of the hands young and hydrated for as long as possible.
Don't Forget SPF
We've talked about the need for daily sunscreen on your face and neck, but your hands need it just as much. Ultraviolet provokes hyperpigmentation, suppresses the production of collagen (the main protein of youth - read more about it here) and contributes to the manifestation of signs of aging. Even on cloudy days, you need to apply SPF cream on the back of your hand, unless you're wearing gloves, of course.
Use a retinol night cream
Retinol is a real elixir of youth. It stimulates the production of collagen and elastin and prevents the skin from losing firmness and smoothness. You can use a night facial treatment on the skin of the hands, apply a small amount of the product to the hands and rub thoroughly until the product is absorbed.
Make masks
Nourishing masks are necessary for the hands as well as for the face. There are a huge number of nourishing and regenerating hand masks on the market for care products, but we recommend paying special attention to products with collagen, hyaluronic acid and antioxidants in their composition. For best results, apply the mask before bed and wear knitted gloves.
