I just finished this astoundingly beautiful documentary about the spoken word poet Andrea Gibson. A story of love and bravery that had me not just in tears, but in a desire to do better with this precious gift of life, even as the world is burning.

I vaguely remember seeing them performing in Portland, Oregon a very long time ago. But the sound of their poetry is long gone from my ears, so hearing it again tonight was a heartfelt tug in the right direction.

I left the USA 14 years ago after Chinese Medicine school, traveling to Asian and ending up in South America deepening my study of plants. Due to events in my life paving the way for hidden stories living inside me, waiting to be heard, I ended up staying in Peru.

Watching this documentary I pondered the love of craft versus love of a partner. How I long to find a love even a quarter of depth these two bright beings carried, yet I live here. Waiting. Wishing. Sadly aware that it is not my time yet, praying for the person to find me hidden in the Valley as I carry out my sentence in purgatory.

This is not a place teeming with le***an or q***r love, friendship, or community. Sure I have lovely friends and a house for of animals, a son growing into a teenager…but I long for my community. Those who understand the struggles it has (and still does) taken us to be seen, heard, felt, and published. Not just to trade war stories but to lift one another up, cheer each other on.

I mainline content like it is going out of style, yet missing references of happenings that I cannot keep up with. How amazing there is so much content available to us! How proud I am to watch this documentary, or a comedy show, or TV series hit?!!

In this documentary, a light shaped into the title of my favorite, and hands down most romantic song ever, “This must be the place”, reminding me that what I desire most is on its way. A life of love as deep as these two had/have if I just open myself up to the good light.

Thanks for this.

In the heaviness of late, I feel lighter with possibility and inspiration.

Journey to the Underworld - Embracing Perimenopause to Menopause as a Rite of Passage ~A woman’s online journey of womb healing, sensuality, Sacred Rage, and the Wild Woman

A Five-Week Online Journey ~ November 1st -29th, 2025

Embracing your Underworld Journey is essential for the initiation to happen.

Fighting the changes or ignoring them creates diseases hidden and obvious that WILL take over if you do not address them. Modern medicine, including some natural and alternative medicines, views the woman’s body as diseased and needing to be healed, fixed, cleansed, medicated, and kept young to be useful to society.

The reality is that aging for women is a powerful RITE OF PASSAGE that allows for a rewiring to take place after the unraveling. Only then will new or***ms come online, intuition gain in strength, and your mind-body-spirit become connected to the Divine Spirit.

You will Learn:
🌹 To connect with your womb as a portal for creativity, sensuality & health.

🌛Understand your lunar phase to track your energy and align with the moon, even after you stop bleeding.

🐚 Womb practices for healing tissues, traumas, and removing old energy from your system.

🪷 Learn embodiment practices & herbs to support your hormones, sensuality, and gain access to new or***ms!

🔥 Sacred Rage: this is a hot topic and one that informs disease in the body of women.

💥 Your NO is your discernment and ability to know what is truly meant for you.

💫 The Underworld: Rites of Passage are the Birthright of Women. We pass through FOUR distinct phases in our lives corresponding to the Earth’s Season’s.

🌊 In Chinese Medicine we honor these passages by harmonizing our inner and outer lives. You will learn how to recognize them and what practices, foods, and herbs will support the Autumn to Winter transition in life.

This 5 week workshop will provide you with a roadmap to support your womb and hormone health. This is the only time I am offering this workshop at this discount. Early bird price is available now! Reach out with questions and as always…
Stay wild 💥

Perimenopause is our Inner Autumn, when the descent into the Underworld begins & allows for the slow unraveling of all the things that will not be needed during our transition to our Wise Woman Years. Much like Earth’s cycles, She slows down, harvesting what is necessary & allowing for die off where necessary to provide the deep rest that is taken through Winter into Spring. While this sounds relaxing & a welcome respite to the fast paced Summer Years, there can often be a desire to stay in the more vibrant energy of youth, ignoring the natural cycles, & creating disharmony.

We can see Inner Autumn reflected in the smaller cycles made in the menstruating years, corresponding to the luteal or premenstrual phases of the bleeding time. This is usually when women become internal, more sensitive, intuitive, & often grumpy when this time period cannot be honored.

Agitations & frustrations arise, old issues, grief, & anger surfaces. Sacred Rage, a popular topic over the years, bubbles up but is often met with discomfort by others when not shared with finesse. Anger is not abuse but can become explosive when neither recognized or honored in healthy ways. But to shut down this process makes for some serious health issues later on in life.

Perimenopause is a decade+ of these feelings while estrogen, the people pleasing hormone, lessens in production. Testosterone rises & with it all the ways women have betrayed themselves or have felt betrayed, abandoned, or mistreated by others. This is the time when many women feel as thought their life makes no sense, leaving jobs or partners, empty nest syndrome approaches as children leave home, on top of all the physical changes that takes place in a women’s body. Depression and spiritual questioning emerge, as well as a desire for something more. DM for more details for the upcoming Journey!

Perimenopause is an Underworld Journey
Embracing this as a Rite of Passage prepares you for Menopause.

Perimenopause and menopause are not the same thing, although they are on a spectrum leading to the other side of the bleeding years. However in perimenopause, or the Wild Woman Years as I call them, there is a Rite of Passage taking place.

A Journey that descends into the Underworld.
One that is full of rage, tears, frustration, and physical changes as the inner and outer landscapes of your Temple change.

The descent happens whether you want it to or not.

For some it is quick and easy, nothing to notice.
For others it is a descent into chaos.
And still for some it is an unraveling that leads to the essence of who you are.

I am in this last category.

As a women’s health practitioner, herbalist, ceremonialist, and all around witchy woman I have found it challenging to have my experience lumped into an initiation I have not yet gone through, menopause.

I am in throws of unraveling BEFORE I get to the rewiring.

What this means is that the messengers of my body, the nervous and endocrine systems are shifting like tectonic plates of my body’s landscape, creating contradicting feelings of movement and compression within.

My whole life expereinces this development through relationship upheavals, financial fluxing, passion waning, agitation and desire dance batteling with the need to escape to an underwater cavern far away from everything.

However, if I slow down, allowing my body to envelop me, getting quieter, more intuitive, I feel held by a protective NO creating a boundary of discernment around me. The friction is just a mirror of what no longer works and the deeply held longing for paths I dared not walk before reveal themselves as the only options for true joy.

Connecting with the Land you live on is a relationship to cultivate by learning the stories of the area, making offerings, sitting quietly in reverence, sharing songs and secrets.

It is the act of showing up and being willing to be present without expecting anything in return.

I have a longstanding evolving relationship with this area of Pachatusan that spans over a decade. To now live at the base of this particular ridge has been profoundly meaningful to me.

Last week before the Full Moon in the Lion’s Gate Portal I climbed to the highest ridge I could on that day to formally give my dedication to Her Wisdom.

I offered my moon blood, cut hair from my head, a red rose from my garden, and huachuma I made. I shed tears of gratitude and a song unsung before erupted from my voice.

When the spell was complete She released me from the resonance She channeled through me, allowing me to descend with the knowledge I belonged here.

Interestingly, I got sick fast and hard that night. I feared my offering was rejected and a deep sadness filled my heart. In the night I had a dream I was speaking to the mountain and asked this very question.

Her response to me was, “No Daughter, I am clearing you out of that what you no longer need.”

In the last few days I have felt clearer and stronger than ever before. THIS is what it means to have ALLYSHIP. This is what it means to have connection to the Earth, the Ancestors, and the Spirit of All Things.

This is open to any and all of us. Hearing the Land speak, knowing you are protected, seeing the veil, and walking with Spirit is a birthright that many have forgotten.

The Earth, the Goddess, Great Spirit needs us and speaks all the time. Will you listen?

Hello beautiful Sisters!! This Full Moon in Aquarius on August 9th, we celebrate the Moon Cycle of SHE WHO HEALS - in honor of midwives, herbalists, healers, doulas, and all of those who are in service to The Plant & Fungi Nations, Sacred Earth Medicines, and any other Healing Arts. We honor the Rites of Passage of Death, Birth, & Rebirth.

Even if you are not a student or Guardian of these paths, each of us has received benefit from them in one way or another. Praying, songs, detoxification, tears, laughter, words of wisdom, and showing up are all ways we honor the gifts of these energies.

I invite you to come to the first Moon Lodge to connect with the Sacred Energies of Luna’s Wisdom. Twice a month, we honor her as gathered women during the New Moon at Api T***n and here at my home at the other end of Pachatusan, the Apus Medicos, on the Full Moon.

Please bring water, fruit to share, a towel, your preferred sweating clothes, a song to share if you wish, and a donation. I look forward to opening this space with all of you.

Happy Dark Moon!

It is a deep time to go into the Dark of Night to meet ourselves, our fears, to grieve, and to be reborn tomorrow during the New Moon in Leo.

In preparation for the in person and online Red Rose / Sacred Rage retreats, I am doing a bit of internal house cleaning myself.

Someone has been on my mind for far too long. A person I have given so much power to that it cripples me, causes me a deep well of pain that has me to running away from the depth of it. Yet there is nowhere to go as the memories follow me, so tonight I will be brave and embrace those emotions with love.

Heartache. Regret. Rage. Shame.

There are people who touch the raw nerve of our souls, leaving a tattooed impression of the time spent together, and an aching yearning when the story has come to an end.

Like awakening from a desired dream in the cold light of morning, feeling groggy with reality and longing. Eventually it’s time to get up and move on.

That time has come for me. After a year of grieving and raging and longing and suppressing and repeating the process ad nausea, it is indeed time to let go and allow the space to be filled anew.

I can honestly say I am ready.

So as I enter this ceremony with song, drum, rattle, and music from bands that understand the path before me…I go into the Shadow Lands to retrieve the parts of myself that I gave away to you.

I let you go with love and receive my lost pieces with a welcoming they desire.
you in the next Timeline Old Friend.

I have been on a bit of a nostalgia 90s flashback of late. Reading books on Riot Grrrl history & listening to bands from my youth. When the Riot Grrrl Movement first started in 1990, I was 12 years old but fully aware of what it meant to be different, a girl, q***r, and mixed.

As a very white-presenting NA girl, I felt I could not speak up, chime in, or be present to many things happening to Natives, & even the punk rock world felt uninviting as a woman. Riot Grrrl gave me support, encouraging me & making me feel safe.

This encouraged me to become a Women's Studies major (not gender studies), focusing on International Women's Health Issues. Yet, due to my skin color, I was repeatedly told I didn't belong in the BIPOC meetings.

Honestly, I get it. I don't know what it means to be dark skinned. They don't know what it means to have to prove yourself as NA every time you enter a space. To stay quiet & alone as a mixed person, listening to your family members, "you have it easier in the (white) world." Even now, people question me as the mother of my son, who is darker than I.

Living in Peru, where my son was born, for nearly 14 years, I enjoy the welcoming I feel most of the time. But lately, I notice the same issues in the Spiritual Plant Medicine Communities that I noticed in the Punk communities.

Brothers are still mansplaining, or nativesplaining, & are still telling women to take a backseat to their God Given Spiritual Right to LEAD.

Don't get me wrong, there are some amazing Abuelos who earned the Eldership & carry it with integrity, supporting the women in their lives. But damn if there are not a lot of young bros acting like they are Elders at 30.

A couple of guys are known womanizers, yet everyone says, "Well, you know men." So we are back to this rhetoric? "Boys will be boys" & get away with stuff because they can't help it?

No. Especially not here.

Many serve Sacred Earth Medicines, lead ceremonies, & sweatlodges, sing songs of the Earth, yet s*x up women, leave them, & then claim these women just wanted attention & couldn't take a hint. What?

All people deserve respect.

This book reminded me of so much. Read it.

Medicine Woman, Spiritwalker & Dark Doctor

I am a Medicine Woman. A Spiritwalker. I travel Between the Worlds seeing the interconnections between your health physically, mentally, s*xually, emotionally and spiritually via your Five Energetic Bodies. The interplay between matter and energy code you inside and out, creating the life you desire or one you wish to change. Understanding how these messages communicate with you and program your experience on all levels is what I empower YOU to do. As a Dark Doctor I work with the Dark Feminine Creatrix energy of Transformation and Transmutation in the cauldron with my training as a Taoist/Chinese medicine doctor, shamanic studies, and Elemental Alchemy to support your Journey!

What is ‘Dark Medicine’? It is medicine that includes Energy on all levels (Physical, Sexual, Emotional, Mental, Spiritual), facing & removing the Shadows (the traumas, diseases, dramas) so that your Immune System begins to recognize your Divine Self as YOU. Dark (Feminine) and Light (Masculine) are a part of the same beautiful dance, it is the Shadows obscuring this dance that is the problem!

YOU are the Medicine you seek!
