Dear followers, I am not working with Ayahuasca anymore! But Facebook will not allow me to change my “therapy with Ayahuasca” post. So I feel frustrated.
If anyone around Iquitos is looking for doing Ayahuasca sessions and work, I recommend Dreamglades, Temple of the Way of Light, Kapitari. Also Yacu Lodge.
For a more upscale experience Amazon Gardens boutique Ecolodge does sessions on request and it is a very nice place to visit. It’s a good place to bring children but not if you want to take Ayahuasca.

Hi Folks! I have finished my work with Ayahuasca and have sold my house in the Amazon region Iquitos.
I am trying to wipe out my "therapy with Ayahuasca page and cannot do it which is very frustrating. I will move to Australia and will update my new activities after I get settled there.

Recent visit to Pilpintuwasi, my local rescue center for forest animals. All are well cared for and have lots of room.

So you want to take Ayahuasca, but are not sure?
This is part of a larger article but I will condense it.
I was observing the large Ayahuasca Centres that do expensive 4 to 10 day retreats. If you really want to make some progress with plant knowledge, then a 10 day retreat is hopelessly inadequate. Centres may offer Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Nunu, Rapé, To***co, Willca, Toé, Bufo, Cambo etc etc. And to add to the mix, back to back ceremonies! Some of these are Master plants and stand in a class of their own. No True Shaman will actually offer to do several of those. They will specialize in only one plant; he or she will be spending many years refining their connection with their Master plant. So why would a novice, (a newbie and inexperienced tourist) go and take several of those things in one week?
To me this is sort of crazy, and it may be part of why centres do have some of the problems they bump into. It may be why people loose balance and have trouble integrating their experiences. This added to the fact that often too many people with various problems (some of them with quite serious mental health issues) get bunched together in close quarters. It is a powerful mix that may not always go well, as inexperienced partakers start bouncing off each other, or start ‘falling in love’ or go into any rabbit hole without support.
So I like to question, why? All this to offer an ‘exciting package’ and draw in the adventurous tourists, ready for a roller coaster ride of hallucinogenic plants while in my opinion it would be preferable to have a serious retreat of working on yourself.
I advise to people to make sure you have enough time and try one Master plant at the time (you can do a dieta or have additional plant baths for cleaning). You can come again in 6 months and do a different retreat! For many the San Pedro (Huachuma) may be a good start, better than the Ayahuasca which is a deeper dive into your subconscious than what many are used to. Toé is another Masterplant in a way, many sorcerers use it, and it is toxic and can paralyse you. So definitely not for the novice. Unfortunately some practicioners mix toé into the Ayahuasca brew, to “give it more of a punch”, but they will still call the brew Ayahuasca.
Remember that in the old culture the normal tribal people would not often take medicine plants at all, this was the job of the Medicine man or woman. It has been the people from western cultures that have started to promote these practices that the missionaries tried to get rid of! And because of this missionary zeal many Peruvians don’t feel good about Ayahuasca, and there is still a fear of Brujos, which especially in the Selva area of Peru (the Amazonian rainforests) is not entirely an unfounded problem. Brujeria is still practiced in these areas.

I have been busy with Ayahuasca for 17 years. How? I was called by “The spirit of Ayahuasca” to come to South America in early 2006. While still in Australia, in early 2006, I made a painting of a plant that I did not recognize. I felt it was part of a strong calling to go and find my shamanic path in South America, but I had not heard the name Ayahuasca till I arrived in Bolivia and got invited to partake in ceremonies. I had not seen how it grows or what it looked like, until nearly a year AFTER I made the painting, and I only recognized it when I found the painting in my storage of stuff in Australia, 10 years later! For the present, I still work with Ayahuasca and have small retreats for a few individuals at the time.

Casa INTI, medicine house

Hi guys, I am from Australia, born in Holland, and have spent most of my life looking after children and old people and studying Art and many other things. Through my artwork I got messages from the spirit world, but I did not realise this was not everybody’s way. In 2005 i had a big experience of other realisties, but i had not taken any plants, or drugs, it all happened spontaneously through my artwork and meditations and spiritual journey.

Then Ayahuasca called me, but i did not know what plant it was, i just painted it. the Ayahuasca and also other spirits from past lives called me to leave all and come to Peru, and in early 2006 I did that and started to find out about medicine plants and teacher plants. I bought a house close to Iquitos, Peru, in Padre Cocha Rio Nanay, and there I remain until the calling changes.

People can come to visit and have a view of a different life, in the middle of a native village, go for walks in the forest and find plants, together with my worker Robinson. My worker Jorge looks after my garden of medicine plants and helps cooking the brew of Ayahuasca.

Many people have come to stay at my house over the last 11 years, from all walks of life, many different races and religions. I do not call it a business because it is something I like to do with the latter part of my life, as a service and also to learn things myself. To do something that is meaningful to me and helps others.
