The Ceremony – A Glimpse Inside
How we sit at Nihue Rao Centro Espiritual
1. The Set‑Up
One by one, each pasajero receives their cup. The shamans drink, the lights go out, and silence settles over the maloca. We wait.
2. The Work Begins
When the shamans’ effect opens (30‑45 minutes in), they sing their opening ícaros—calling in their medicines, preparing to heal.
A second dose is offered to those who need it, guided by our facilitators.
3. Healing Songs
Facilitators bring each person to sit before their shaman. Your intentions are quietly shared, and the shaman sings.
One ícaro at a time—8 to 12 minutes—the medicine meets you where you are.
4. Silence & Rest
Once everyone has received their song, the maloca settles into deep silence. The Maestro holds the space until he announces the closing.
A single candle is lit. Quiet conversation, gentle music, or simply resting—always with respect, because Mother is still present.
This is how we sit. This is how we heal.
Four ceremonies a week. 3-4 master shamans. A Shipibo tradition held in the heart of the Amazon.
If you’ve been feeling the call, we invite you to come sit with us.
