Bridging the Gap: From Subsistence to Success 🇵🇬
For 10,000 years, our people have been masters of the land. But for too long, the missing link hasn’t been hard work—it’s been access to markets. We believe our farmers don’t need charity; they need a system that respects their dignity and pays a fair price for their labor.
To turn this vision into reality, we operate through two integrated arms:
1. Sojona Integrated Sustainable Agriculture & Livelihoods (SISAL) 🧺
SISAL is our commercial "Market Engine."
* Value Addition: We take raw local crops, like our indigenous Galip nuts, and process them into premium products ready for major supermarket shelves.
* Real Partnerships: Through support from the Market for Village Farmers (MVF), we equip local collectors with the tools they need—buckets, pots, and canvases—to professionalize their harvest.
* Economic Dignity: By creating a reliable pathway from the village to the retailer, we ensure money stays in the pockets of our local families.
2. Auti Brislon Livelihood Empowerment Inc. (ABLE) 🤝
ABLE is our "Community Anchor."
* Pro-Bono Support: Revenue generated by SISAL helps fund ABLE’s mission to provide essential community services.
* Technical Expertise: We use high-level tools like GIS mapping to help clans understand their land's potential and secure their resources for future generations.
* Sustainable Impact: ABLE ensures that as the business grows, the community is empowered with the skills and data needed for long-term resilience.
The Bottom Line:
When SISAL builds the market, ABLE strengthens the people. Together, we are proving that Papua New Guinea can grow its own future, one nut at a time.
