FAQ: "What is Ovulation?" ๐ค
Answer: Ovulation is a key phase in the female menstrual cycle where a mature egg (oocyte) is released from the o***y. This process is triggered by a surge in the Luteinizing Hormone (LH), typically occurring about 14 days before the start of the next menstrual period. Once released, the egg is swept into the fallopian tube, where it remains viable for fertilization by s***m for about 12 to 24 hours. The period surrounding this event, known as the fertile window (approximately six days), is when the chances of conception are highest.
