Good morning,Family &Friends.

We arrived back in Port Moresby a week ago and tried getting Wilchi settled into his normal routine however after 5 nights his sleep pattern didn't change and the hot humid temperature was not in our favor causing a lot of irritation to his new prosthetic eye.

Wilchi had his new 2nd prosthetic eye fitted on the 16th February as the original prosthetic eye was unable to adjust due to a slight crack and needed to be replaced.

The new prosthetic eye is slightly bigger in size to accommodate for Wilchi's growth and may last for another 1-2 years.

On the first day upon arrival at home Wilchi was constantly rubbing this right eye until his prosthetic eye fell out and it took alot of tossing, Turning and men power to finally fit it back.

We are happy to be back and our family will also be planning another trip in the next 4-6 months as per Doctors request so I'm reaching out to business houses, individuals or organizations who are willing to donate towards Wilchi's healing journey.

Each trip costs roughly K30,000 for eye examination,MRI brain scan, 4x Doctors consultation, lab tests, accommodation, airfares, transportation and meals.

The purpose for the regular visits is because Wilchi carries a RB1 gene that can develop into other forms of cancer at any time and therefore needs to be monitored.

We will be organizing a little fundraising to get us back on track and will advise in our next post.

Once again thank you all for your continuous support and prayersπŸ˜‡β€.

Good night Families & Friends

This week we started off 11.02.26 with a visit to the Paedatric oncologist who we were referred to by the genetic specialist as per our last visit in September last year. Our next visit will depend on the results after the procedure.

At 11pm Wilchi started his 8 hour fasting in preparation for his procedure under general anesthesia.

On Thursday the 12.02.26 at 7am Philippines time Wilchi underwent his brain MRI contrast scan and a brief eye examination.

This procedure took abit longer than usual 30-35 minutes however it took an hour because Wilchi kept waking up during the procedures which made it difficult to take a clear brain scan. Luckily they managed to get it down.

Wilchi weighs 30.2kg and under general anesthesia it's not safe for him as his tonsils and nasal passage are quite large causing him to snore and lose oxygen thus waking up regularly.

Our mission is to take him out of the house and join kids activities to help him lose abit of weight to prevent this from happening again.

Wilchi attending Dr Honeylen Teo also did a brief eye examination and found that Wilchi left eye is clear with no abnormalities but may need his prosthetic eye replaced, she also stated that upon the review with the radiologist she explained Wilchi's Brain scan was normal.

After an hour's procedure and another hour In recovery we were than discharged.πŸ™

Even after an hour of been drugged and with his left eye been overly medicated and blurry, this kid had so much energy that I couldn't even match🀭

After a Goodnights rest we set off for another doctor's visit on Friday 13.02.26 to Pampanga. It's approximately 2 hours drive. We hired a vehicle and a driver for this return trip that cost K500. I would say it's the best option for us despite Wilchi's condition.

Upon arrival at the Ocularist, Wilchi's prosthetic eye was removed. It took alot of strength to hold sponge Bob big guy down. πŸ˜…

After a 6 hour wait, Wilchi eye was than fitted back and we were told to return on Monday 16.02.26 for another prosthetic eye fitting.

We got stuck in traffic for 4 hours upon arriving back at our apartment. πŸ€•

Some days are very challenging but we got enough faith to keep us going.πŸ˜‡

Monday we are scheduled for the prosthetic eye fitting.

Tuesday pick up medical records dating since 2023

Wednesday see the Paedatric oncologist to review medical reports and schedule a next review.

Wilchi is doing extremely well and since he carries the Retinoblastoma gene he is required to carry out a MRI brain scan every 4 months until the age of 7. We are praying we find sponsors for our next trip.

We are grateful for his life and how far he has come. God has really blessed him and we would also like also say thank you to everyone that's always praying and supporting Wilchi. πŸ˜‡β€β€πŸ™

God Bless you All.

Hi Family & Friends

February is the month of love but for us this special month not only broke us back to 2023 but also gave us a new perspective of life.

In a recap since 2023 til today;

February 2023 Diagnosed with cancer.
February 2024 Eye removal (surgery)
February 2025 4th Medical review
February 2026 6th Medical review and new prosthetic eye.

February, 8th 2026 today also marks Wilchi's 2nd year Anniversary since his eye surgery.

God has been so amazing πŸ˜‡β€

This will be our 4th Valentines away from our beloved family but we know we are blessed despite the distance.

On Friday the 06th we embarked on another healing journey for Wilchi to the Philippines.

Our schedule started upon arrival as we took a 1 and half hour drive, one stop at home to drop off the cargo, feed Wilchi with his favorite rice and Ox palm before the tears and screaming.

Made it to St Luke's hospital at 7.30pm Png time and managed to get his Chest X-ray, full blood works and Creatinine (kidney) test completed than back home by 8.30pm.

Yesterday the 07th February Wilchi had to see another Paediatrician as his other Doctor had a busy schedule.
Wilchi's blood and chest X-ray results came back normal and was than Medically cleared to undergo his eye examination and brain MRI scan next week Thursday 12th February.

Since Wilchi has been cleared we have to stay indoors as there is a lot of infectious virus going around due to the weather possibly due to a Typhoon in the North of Manila.

We have a very busy schedule next week with having to see a Paediatric Oncologist, eye examination and brain MRI scan under general anesthesia and a 2x road trip (2-3) road trip to Pampanga to see and Ocularist for Wilchi to have a new prosthetic eye.

We are blessed to celebrate Wilchi's healing journey in this beautiful month of Love ❀️

Thank you all to everyone that supported and prayed for us to be back in Philippines again.

We are back and Cancer got nothing on us.

Goodnight Family & Friends.

Happy 2nd December.

Thank you for your continuous support and love.

Due to Wilchi's recent medical results, he is due for an appointment on the 14th January,2026.

However, travel plans are put on hold due to the peak period and the increased airfares which Is causing a delay to our travel.

Despite all this, we have faith and are determined to keep going.

On that note, we wanted to share our family journey that brought our families closer.

*Wilchi's eldest Aunt Rita Aisi was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure In May ,2022.
She was fortunate to have a donor and continues with her medical reviews.

*Wilchi's has a grand mother Bubu Kathleen Bure that was diagnosed with breast cancer on Wilchi's 3rd Birthday 21.06.24. She is currently doing chemotherapy and radiation in Brisbane with the continuous support of families and friends.

*Wilchi has another grand mother Melinda Miria from maternal side of life who was diagnosed with throat cancer this year 2025 and is currently in the Philippines doing treatment.

Our families have been through soo much throughout the year, working to support each other but most importantly praying to keep our loved ones alive.

Our faith has kept the fire burning. πŸ˜‡

Our families are all coming together to unite to host a special event for a worthy cause this Pre- Christmas .

Theme; CAROLS FOR CURE

All funds raised this event goes towards supporting each member of our family.

Since being diagnosed with retinoblastoma (cancer in his right eye) in 2023, four-year-old Wilchi Paddy Kapin has endured countless hospital visits and treat

11/11/2025

Hi Family & Friends.

Wilchi's Genetic results were released on Friday 07.11.25 at 12 noon.

Prior to receiving the hard copy results, I Wilchi's mum received a viber call from the Genetic specialist Dr Lingao summarizing the 5 page report and interpreting with simple ways for me to understand.

Wilchi's results came back POSITIVE meaning he carries a RB1 gene, he will need to do further tests as there appears to be an increase risk of secondary Cancers reoccurring such as brain tumor, bone or skin cancer amongst Retinoblastoma surviors, and there Is a chance that he can pass it on to his children in the future. πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜’

We have been trying to get our heads around this results and the cost related to it.

We were also told to go do a family variant testing that should be done with 150 days after Wilchi's blood was collected in July. That means we have 3 months left.

To be honest I was overwhelmed whilst trying to fight back the tears at work. The only thing that calmed my heart was a little prayer and continuous prayers to find confidence to share his results.

This medically important results we share with you all is not for sympathy but as an awareness to get your kids checked out if they are sick or if you see unusual behaviors or signs.

We are now seeking guidance from our Genetic specialist to help us on how we can manage the next steps of Wilchi's healing journey.

We remain prayerful and believe Wilchi will grow up to be a testimony of God's miracle. πŸ˜‡β€

Please share his story to help us find a sponsor.

No child should fight alone. We have come this far. β€πŸ™

This is an appreciation post to all the Angels near and far that have supported and continue to support Paddington journey.

In Wilchi's journey, we have come this far with support from our families, friends and strangers. No insurance what soever except Prayers.

We do not have a major sponsor but we believed that Wilchi was healed because of LOVE from everyone.

Our journey for Wilchi continues til the age of 7 until he gets cleared from Childhood cancer, so we are resilient In making sure he reaches that age.

We have come this far and we continue to pray for those around us.

This is a little video of Wilchi learning to be independent.

Everyday is different for us as we continue to teach him new things.

Wilchi is doing well and its all thanks to the friends and families that supported us.
