i. To promote a positive image of people living with HIV and affected by HIV, to eliminate prejudice, isolation, stigmatization, and discrimination arising from HIV/AIDS in PNG;
ii. To work closely with other relevant organizations, locally, nationally, and internationally, in pursuit of these goals;
iii. To receive donations, grants, and bequests from persons and institutions including governments, and to engage in such fund-raising activities as may achieve the objectives of the Association.
iv. We are looking for a passionate and skilled Finance & Administration Officer to support our mission by managing our financial processes and ensuring smooth day-to-day administrative operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing for Donor Fund Activities.
• Ensure compliance with donor regulations, financial policies, and government laws.
• Prepare financial statements and provide clear, actionable financial analysis to the management team.
• Process payments, track expenditures, and reconcile financial records.
• Manage administrative functions including office supplies, logistics, and record-keeping.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth operation and reporting.
• Support grant management and donor reporting, ensuring timely submission of required documents.
• Contribute to capacity-building activities for finance and administration staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience 3 or more years in a finance and administrative role, preferably within an NGO setting.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations, donor requirements, and NGO operations.
• Familiarity with financial software in finance processes
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards is an advantage.
