City College of Angeles Goes Green! 🌱

In line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and our commitment to stewardship, CCA is taking action to reduce single-use plastics, promote proper waste management, and conserve energy.

Starting August 18, 2025, let’s work together to make our campus more sustainable and eco-friendly

 Avoid single use plastics bring your own tumblers, utensils, and containers
 Save energy turn off lights and appliances when not in use, and maximize natural light.
 Use stairs for short trips promote wellness and save energy.

Small changes make a big difference! Let’s lead the way towards a greener, healthier, and more responsible school community.

🚨 DOH: ‘WAG GUMAMIT NG DOXYCYCLINE NANG WALANG RESETA🚨
Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.
Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.
Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.
Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.

🚨 PANGANIB NA MAKURYENTE, MATAAS KAPAG MAULAN 🚨
Sa panahon ng tag-ulan at mga malawakang pagbaha, madalas hindi nakikita ang banta ng kuryente sa paligid.
⚡️Kapag nakuryente, maaaring:
- Tumigil ang puso
- Huminto ang paghinga
- Malapnos ang balat
- Masira ang ugat at internal organs
⚠️ Doblehin ang pag-iingat ngayong tag-ulan. Alamin ang mga dapat gawin bago, habang, at pagkatapos ng baha para makaiwas sa disgrasya.
📞 Tumawag sa National Emergency Hotline 911 o local emergency hotlines kapag kailangan ng tulong.

Dahil tag-ulan na, kailangang bantayan ang W.I.L.D na sakit na uso tuwing umuulan:

💧 Waterborne diseases – mula sa maruming tubig
🤒 Influenza-like illnesses – trangkaso / lagnat, ubo, sakit ng katawan
🐀 Leptospirosis – galing sa ihi ng daga na nasa baha
🦟 Dengue – dala ng kagat ng Aedes aegypti na namamahay sa naipong tubig

Antabayanan ang karagdagang impormasyon para maiwasang magkasakit.

‼️DOH: HIV ang mas malaking problema sa Pilipinas kaysa MPox‼️

Iminumungkahi ng DOH na gawing National Public Health Emergency ang HIV dahil sa pagsirit ng kaso nito sa bansa na tumaas nga 500%. Pumalo sa 57 ang bilang ng kumpirmadong kaso ng HIV kada araw mula Enero hanggang Marso ngayong taon.

Pilipinas ang may pinakamataas na bilang ng bagong kaso ng HIV sa Western Pacific Region.

Payo ng DOH:
📌Magpa-HIV test. Ito ay libre at confidential

📌Gawin ang Combination Prevention Method—-gumamit ng condom, lubricants, at PrEP

📌 Ugaliin ang pag konsulta at pag-inom ng Antiretroviral therapy para sa mga kailangan nito.

The City College of Angeles (CCA) mourns the passing of Dr. Pepito “Pip” Galang, former faculty member and former Head of the Human Resource Management Office. Dr. Galang was not only a dedicated educator but also a respected leader whose integrity, humility, and deep commitment to public service left a lasting impact on the CCA community. His strength, generosity of spirit, and unwavering dedication to nurturing both students and colleagues will long be remembered. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
