🔍 What is HIV?
HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) is a virus that attacks the immune system. If left untreated, it can lead to AIDS. With early testing and proper treatment, people with HIV can live long and healthy lives.
💡 How HIV is Transmitted:
HIV can spread through:
Unprotected sexual contact
Sharing contaminated needles or sharp instruments
Mother-to-child transmission (pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding)
Transfusions of infected blood (rare due to screening)
🛑 How HIV is NOT Transmitted:
HIV cannot be spread through:
Hugging, holding hands, or kissing
Sharing food, utensils, or toilet seats
Sweat, tears, or saliva ,Casual contact in school or the community
🛡️ Protect Yourself:
Practice safe and responsible sexual behavior
Use condoms correctly and consistently
Avoid sharing needles or sharp items
Get tested regularly
Seek medical help if you think you’ve been exposed
