The stigma surrounding mental health has greatly affected how people perceives mental health and those who are struggling from it. These stigma and stereotypes often hinder open conversations, awareness, and acceptance, which leads to rejection and not seeking for help.
We hope that we become more aware on the existence of these stigmas and how we can change these perceptions. It starts with us, and the impact of having positive conversations regarding mental health gives power and courage for those who have struggles to come forward. There is hope, there is help, and you are not alone in your battles.
Don't fall for these propagandas! It is okay to reach out for help when needed, people with mental issues are not crazy, and you do not need to have mental health illnesses to reach out to a mental health professional. We listen, we validate, and we empathize with you. You can talk to us.
