Hello Grade 7 learners!

Please watch out for the announcement of our School Based Immunization schedule for DT and MR.

We will be releasing the consent forms anytime soon. As early as now I am encouraging every Grade 7 parent to participate and allow your children to be vaccinated against Diptheria, Tetanus, Measles & German Measles. This is to protect your children from getting these vaccine-preventable diseases.

NOHSians, we can fight this virus by proper practice of HANDWASHING. This is a collective effort among each and everyone of us. One positive learner with Foot & Mouth Disease will spread the germs among his classmates, hence, it is very important that once you have this infection - PLEASE ISOLATE for 2 weeks right away. Inform your Class Adviser and do not go to school. If you notice your classmate has some rashes, PLEASE inform your teacher asap. The Clinic will prescribe medicines for fast recovery of our sick learner. What matters is strict isolation, disinfection of the classroom & proper handwashing. We can fight this!

This July, during National Deworming Month, let's focus on simple, effective steps to protect ourselves and our loved ones from soil-transmitted helminths (STH). These intestinal worms can cause serious health problems, especially in children.

By incorporating these easy practices into our daily routines, we can significantly reduce the risk of infection:
Handwashing: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after using the toilet and before eating.
Sanitation: Practice proper toilet hygiene and dispose of waste responsibly.
Food Safety: Avoid eating uncooked or undercooked food. Ensure food is properly prepared and stored.
Footwear: Wear slippers or shoes when walking in soil.
Mass Deworming: Participate in mass deworming campaigns as advised by health authorities.

Remember, prevention is key! Let's work together to create healthier communities.
