“Ang ating tagumpay ay walang saysay kung hindi kasama ang Diyos sa ating buhay.”
Sabi nga ng pinakamayaman, madunong, matagumpay na taong nabuhay noong unang panahon ay
“Meaningless! Meaningless!“
Ito ang sinabi ni King Solomon sa
Ecclesiastes 1:2 NIV
“Meaningless! Meaningless!” says the Teacher. “Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless.”
Iwasan natin maging katulad niya, hanapin natin ang tunay na kasiyahan sa buhay ito ay hindi kayamanan, marangyang buhay o kahit anuman na nandito sa mundo dahil ang tunay na kasiyahan ay nasa Diyos.
Pero sino nga ba si King Solomon?
Si King Solomon ay isa sa pinakamayaman, matagumpay at pinaka madunong na tao na nabuhay sa mundo, pero magugulat tayo sa kanyang sinabi dito pagdating sa paghahanap ng kaligayahan sa,
Ecclesiastes 2:1-11
“I decided to enjoy myself and find out what happiness is. But I found that this is useless, too.
I discovered that laughter is foolish, that pleasure does you no good. Driven on by my desire for wisdom, I decided to cheer myself up with wine and have a good time. I thought that this might be the best way people can spend their short lives on earth.
I accomplished great things.
I built myself houses and planted vineyards. I planted gardens and orchards, with all kinds of fruit trees in them; I dug ponds to irrigate them. I bought many slaves, and there were slaves born in my household. I owned more livestock than anyone else who had ever lived in Jerusalem. I also piled up silver and gold from the royal treasuries of the lands I ruled. Men and women sang to entertain me, and I had all the women a man could want.
Yes, I was great, greater than anyone else who had ever lived in Jerusalem, and my wisdom never failed me. Anything I wanted, I got. I did not deny myself any pleasure. I was proud of everything I had worked for, and all this was my reward. 11 Then I thought about all that I had done and how hard I had worked doing it, and I realized that it was all so meaningless—like chasing the wind—of no use at all.
Merong fame, power, wealth, women si King Solomon pero ang sinabi nya, lahat ng Ito ay “MEANINGLESS!” like chasing the wind.”
Sa Tagalog ,
Walang kabuluhan! Tulad ng isang tao na hinahabol ang hangin.
Lahat ng yaman at kapangyarihan na meron sya ay walang kabuluhan sabi ni Haring Solomon.
Dahil ginawa nya ito na hindi kasama ang Diyos, nakagawa sya ng mga bagay na hindi ayon sa kalooban ng Diyos kaya hindi sya nito napapasaya, parang nag aksaya lang sya ng oras nya, kaya ito ang kanyang payo sa mga susunod na henerasyon, para hindi matulad sa nagawa nya, meron fame, money and power pero empty and despair ang naging ending.
Ito ang kanyang Final Words of Advice
Sa Ecclesiastes 12:13-14
“Now, what should we learn from everything that is written in this book? The most important thing a person can do is to respect God and obey his commands, because he knows about everything people do—even the secret things. He knows about all the good and all the bad, and he will judge people for everything they do.”
Ang pinaka importante sa lahat ng sinabi ni King Solomon ay irespeto ang Diyos at sundin ang Kanyang kalooban, para ating makamtan ang tunay na kaligayahan.
