β˜•πŸ΅ Did You Know? πŸ΅β˜•

Both coffee and tea are rich in polyphenols, powerful antioxidants that offer numerous health benefits. However, these polyphenols can also inhibit iron absorption in your body.

To maximize iron absorption, try these tips:

βœ…Drink coffee or tea between meals rather than with meals.

βœ…Pair iron-rich foods with vitamin C sources, like citrus fruits, to boost absorption.

βœ…Balance your diet with a variety of nutrient-rich foods.

Enjoy your favorite beverages wisely!

β˜€οΈ How Much Sun Do You Need for Vitamin D? 🌞

Did you know that just a few minutes of sunshine each day can boost your vitamin D levels? Here's a quick guide:

🌀️ Fair Skin: 10-15 minutes
πŸŒ₯️ Medium Skin: 15-30 minutes
🌞 Dark Skin: 30 minutes to an hour

πŸ’‘ Remember, these times can vary based on where you live, the time of year, and the time of day. Aim for midday sun for the best results, and always protect your skin from too much exposure!

Don't forget:
πŸ‘’ Wear a hat if you'll be out for long
🌿 Balance sun exposure with shade breaks
🌞 Just a few minutes can make a difference!

Stay healthy and enjoy the sunshine! 🌻

One randomized controlled trial showed that about one cup a day of cooked quinoa for 12 weeks led to a 36 percent drop in triglycerides. That’s comparable to what one gets with triglyceride-lowering drugs or high-dose fish oil supplements.

Is regular quinoa or red quinoa better? Red quinoa has about twice the antioxidant power, leading investigators to conclude that it might "contribute significantly to the management and/or prevention of degenerative diseases associated with free radical damage." It hasn’t been put to the test, though.

What about black quinoa? Both red and black varieties appear equally antioxidant-rich, and both beat out the more conventional white quinoa.
