On January 17, 2023, officers of the Neurology Department - BGH paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Bernard S. Waclin and discussed the doctor’s community rotation in Itogon.

Municipal Health Officer Dr. Oliver Guadaña, announced today that the community rotation of BGH’s Neurology Department will start this March and will end in November this year. Dr. Jenielyn Nazaire will begin her rotation in the municipality for the duration of three months.

Neurological conditions include stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s, epilepsy, brain cancer, and infection.

“Importante po sa amin not only to give neurologic care sa hospital but also to reach the community. It will always start sa prevention and education para hindi na mag lead sa neurological problems”, said Dr. Nazaire.

Dr. Nazaire added that they will conduct house visits to patients unable to transport to hospitals due to their conditions.

Dr. Guadaña encouraged the relatives and loved ones of a neuro-related patient to reach out to Municipal Health Services Office for assessment and possible treatment.
