🩺 Diagnostics para kay Juan: Lab Tests & ECG for Every Juan’s Health 🫀

Every test tells a story.
Every heartbeat reflects a life worth protecting.

PharmaFIT&WELL Session 3 marked a meaningful step toward preventive and compassionate healthcare as our geriatric patients availed of FREE laboratory services including CBC, BUN, Creatinine, FBS, Uric Acid, Lipid Profile, and Urinalysis, made possible through our partner, Blood Care Clinical Laboratory.

Complementing these services was FREE ECG testing, conducted by Prof. Alwin B. Santos, RN, MAN from the Department of Nursing, strengthening our commitment to holistic and timely health assessment.

This successful session was made possible through the dedication of the Department of Pharmacy faculty-extensionists, the unwavering support of the Extension Directorate led by Dr. Marlowe U. Aquino, PhD, and the strong collaboration of the Barangay Baay officials and health workers under the leadership of Brgy. Captain Romeo T. Bagaoisan.

The journey continues. Results from this diagnostics-focused session will guide PharmaFIT&WELL Session 4, where both geriatric and pediatric patients will receive free medical consultations.

Strength in Every Juan: Empowering Minds, Uplifting Lives unfolded last November 5, 2025, as the PharmaFIT&WELL team brought heartfelt learning and compassionate connection to Barangay Baay’s community center. Led by Ms. Alynna Hasmine L. Basilio, RPm, RGC, a registered guidance counselor and psychometrician, the engaging lecture on mental health and stress management—followed by an insightful Q&A—allowed Barangay Health Workers and community members to reflect, breathe, and rediscover their inner resilience.

As stories were shared and questions flowed, one message resonated deeply:
“Sa bawat pagod, may pahinga. Sa bawat luha, may aral. At sa bawat bukas, may panibagong simula.”
Truly, there is strength in every Juan and Juana—strength that grows when communities learn together and uplift one another. Stay tuned as Sessions 3 and 4 rise on the horizon.

PharmaPRENEUR Session 3: Meat Your Success! 🥩✨

Last July 16, 2025, our journey toward entrepreneurial empowerment took a flavorful turn with "Meat Your Success: Processing for Profit", the third session of our extension project PharmaPRENEUR.

Participants learned the art (and science!) of select meat processing, guided by our expert trainers from the Food Innovation Center of MMSU , Dr. Felicitas Sanculi and Mr. Eleazer O. Grande. Before rolling up their sleeves, Mr. Grande delivered an insightful lecture on Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices, setting the stage for safe and quality production.

From learning to earning, our participants are now equipped with new skills to turn passion into profit! 💪🥓🌟
