🚨 DOH: ‘WAG GUMAMIT NG DOXYCYCLINE NANG WALANG RESETA🚨

Ang doxycycline ay isang antibiotic na ginagamit laban sa Leptospirosis.

Kapag mali ang pag-inom, pwedeng mawalan ito ng bisa laban sa mga mikrobyo at maging mas mahirap gamutin ang simpleng impeksyon. Pwede itong humantong sa matagal o mas matinding pagkakasakit.

Nakadepende ang pag-inom ng doxycycline sa exposure o risk level ng taong nalubog sa baha.

Payo ng DOH, magpatingin sa doktor para sa tamang reseta sa paggamit ng antibiotic na ito.

Local Health Teams Mobilized to Prevent Leptospirosis in Flood- Affected Communities

As the rainy season brings a higher risk of waterborne diseases, the Municipal Health Office staff and DOH- CHD I deployed staff, headed by Dr. Erwill O. Nunan, MHO, conducted Behavioral and Social Change Communication initiative to prevent the spread of Leptospirosis on July 23, 2025 at Barangays Baccuit Sur, Baccuit Norte, Disso- or, Taberna, Urayong, Parian Oeste, Payocpoc Norte Oeste and Pagdalagan Sur.
Leptospirosis is a bacterial infection primarily contracted through contact with the urine of infected animals or contaminated environment.
The campaign focused on educating local residents about the symptoms of Leptospirosis, key preventive measures and practical behavioral shifts such as avoiding floodwaters, wearing protective footwears and seeking early treatment. The teams also provided Doxycycline prophylaxis to individuals exposed to floodwaters based on DOH guidelines. ~seg

Nasa mga larawan ang mga impormasyong dapat nating malaman upang tayo ay makasigurado sa proteksyon ng pamilya laban sa Leptospirosis.

Kung ikaw ay makaransa ng mga sintomas na nabanggit matapos mapunta sa kontaminadong tubig o putik, mahalagang magpatingin agad sa doctor o pumunta sa pinakamalapit na ospital upang makakuha ng angkop na gamutan.

🚨 DOH NAGPAALALA SA KAHALAGAHAN NG PAGHUGAS NG KAMAY SA EVACUATION CENTER 🚨

Umabot na sa 29,814 ang bilang ng mga evacuees sa mga rehiyon ng I, II, III, MIMAROPA, V , VI, VII, IX, at CAR na naapektuhan ng ayon sa DOH Health Emergency Alert Reporting System (as of July 19, 2025).

Dahil dito, nagpapaala ang DOH sa kahalagahan ng pagpapanatili ng kalinisan sa katawan lalo na sa evacuation centers.

Madaling kumalat ang mga sakit sa evacuation centers dahil marami ang tao sa iisang lugar.

Basahin ang larawan para manatiling ligtas laban sa mga sakit, nasaan man kayo ngayong maulan.
