In accordance with the directive of President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., the administration has assured that every Filipino is entitled to free services and medicines that come with BASIC DOH Hospital accommodation:

✅ Accessible services

With the additional 15% funds in Maintenance and Other Operating Expense (MOOE) ordered by the President himself, DOH hospitals are better prepared to implement the No Balance Billing policy — a concrete step towards better quality medical services for all.

In honor of Sight Saving Month, the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center – Eye Center, in partnership with the Philippine Academy of Ophthalmology – North Western Luzon Baguio-Benguet Council, proudly unveils Project S.H.I.N.E. (Sight-Saving Healthcare Initiative for Nurtured Eyes) — an outreach activity that aims to significantly aid in the current log of cataract cases among indigent patients in the community by providing sight-restoring surgeries, scheduled to take place every Saturday this August 2025.

Beyond the immediate medical intervention, Project S.H.I.N.E. embodies the profound social responsibility of local eye health providers, fostering collaboration within the ophthalmic community, raising public awareness on eye health, and ultimately empowering individuals by restoring their independence and improving their quality of life. Through this outreach, we hope to illuminate lives clouded by lens pathologies, one eye at a time.

Let’s come together to make August a month of brighter tomorrows.

Starting six months of age, your baby needs nutritious food in addition to mother's milk! 🤱🍽️
