Major Ingredients:
Makabuhai – considered as a universal medicine. It helps treat stomach trouble,indigestion, diarrhea and malaria. It is tonic & also used to lower fever.
Gabi or Taro – with vit. B, used as a digestive, laxative,& diuretic.
Luyang Dilau or Tumeric – a good source of calcium. Used as aromatic, stimulant, tonic, antispasmodic, carminative, astringent and anthelmintic. It is administered in intermittent fevers and is used for dispelling, flatulence, dyspepsia, and weak stomach. Used against colic, amenorrhea, diarrhea, & congestion.
Lagundi – used to treat asthma,cough and fever. Dysentery, colds and pain in any part of the body as in influenza, skin diseases (dermatitis, scabies, eczema) and wounds, headache, rheumatism, sprain, contusions, insect bites and also for aromatic abth in sick patients.
Yerba Buena – proven effective for rheumatism, arthritis and headache. Cough and cold, swollen gums, tooth ache, menstral and gas pain, nausea, fainting, insect bites and pruritus.
Sambong – recommended for patients with fluid imabalances w/c acts as anti-edema, diuretic and anti-urolithiasis.
Tsaang Gubat – very good in treating diarrhea and stomachache.
Niyug-Niyogan – anti – helminthic.
Bayabas – well known for its anti-bacterial property and is used for washing wounds, toothache and diarrhea.
Ulasimang Bato or Pansit-pansitan – proven effective in lowering uric acid as for gout and rheumatism.
Ampalaya – very well known for its abilty in lowering blood sugar levels as for diabetes.
Luya or Ginger – contains aromatic volatile oils, gingerol, gingerin, and resins. Used as stomachic, carminative, diaphoretic, diuretic, stimulant-specially in flatulence and colic, vomiting spasms and other painful afflictions of the stomach. It is also effective for rheumatism, colds, asthma, dyspepsia and indigestion.
Squash – source of vitamin B, vitamin A, iron, phosporus, & calcium.Used as vermifuge, anthelmintic in urinary diseases, & diuretic in gonorrhea.
