🌿 Linggo ng Kabataan 2025: “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond” 🌍

This year, Barangay San Gabriel was chosen by the City Government to proudly host the Linggo ng Kabataan 2025, led by our guests Ma’am Milagros C. Agda (Youth Development Officer II) and Ms. Shayne Rizza Perla Basilga (Youth Development Officer I). The event highlighted the dedication, creativity, and unity of the youth in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals and beyond! 💪✨

On Day 1, the highlight of the celebration was the Youth Skill Training with the San Gabriel Farmers Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (SAGFARBCO). The process was not easy — from preparing the coconut husks to crafting them into unique, aesthetic, and functional products, the youth worked tirelessly from scratch. 🥥💚 Despite the challenges, their patience, creativity, and teamwork shone through, proving that with passion and perseverance, sustainability can begin with small yet meaningful actions. 🌱✨

On Day 2, the spirit of collaboration continued with a heartfelt tree planting activity followed by exciting games that promoted teamwork, camaraderie, and joy among the participants. 🌳🎉

We extend our deepest gratitude to our kind and active CSWDO facilitators, LYDC members, and all the youth from different barangays who actively participated and shared their enthusiasm throughout the event. 💖

A special thank you as well to the SK Chairpersons from various barangays for their presence and support — your leadership and engagement truly inspired the youth to keep moving for positive change! 🙌

And of course, our sincere appreciation to the Barangay Council and our ever-supportive Barangay Captain Enrique A. Alde for continuously believing in and empowering the youth of San Gabriel. 🌟

‎Big thanks to the young stars who made this day unforgettable!🙌✨ The event started strong with a 𝑷𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕, where bright artwork showed ideas like saving the planet, equal rights, and unbreakable communities. Then, 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒌𝒂𝒕 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓’𝒔 singing contest was the highlight—talented singers stole the spotlight with impressive vocals and fun songs, earning loud cheers and proving real talent doesn’t need flashy tricks. Finally, the 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏 𝑷𝒐𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒚 session fired up the crowd, using powerful words to call for fairness, greener futures, and brave actions for change.
