To better serve our clients and help decongest the Outpatient Department due to the high volume of Animal Bite Clinic patients, we are implementing a new vaccination schedule, effective immediately:

🗓️ 1st Dose
📍 Tuesdays and Thursdays
🕗 8:00 AM – 12:00 NOON

🗓️ 2nd Dose
📍 Tuesdays and Thursdays
🕐 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

🗓️ 3rd Dose
📍 Wednesdays and Fridays
🕗 8:00 AM – 12:00 NOON

🗓️ 4th Dose
📍 Wednesdays and Fridays
🕐 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Please Bring the following documents:

📣 OPERASYON LIBRE TULI 2025: A SUCCESSFUL MISSION OF SERVICE AND TEAMWORK! ✂️👨‍⚕️

This event was made possible through the leadership of Dr. Jessica Sabalberino - Chief of Hospital, and Dr. Albino Bandoy, Chief of Clinics, and the united efforts of the Department of Surgery, Nursing Department, Administrative Department, Allied Staff, and from the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians – Eastern Visayas Chapter and Philippine Nurses Association – Eastern Samar Chapter.

The Department of Family and Community Medicine (DFCM) proudly stood alongside our colleagues in this shared mission of public service. We are honored to have taken part in the 5-day Operasyon Libre Tuli held from May 26–30, 2025 at Eastern Samar Provincial Hospital — where 409 young boys received safe, free, and compassionate circumcision services. Together, we proved that service is strongest when done as a team. 💙

This meaningful outreach also served as our belated celebration of World Family Doctors Day 2025, highlighting our commitment to holistic, community-based care. 🌍👨‍⚕️👩‍⚕️

Celebration of World Family Doctor Day 2025
Theme: “Building Mental Resilience in the Changing World”
ESPH Department of Family and Community Medicine

In celebration of World Family Doctor Day, the ESPH Department of Family and Community Medicine conducted two key activities promoting mental resilience and community well-being.

🗓️ May 5, 2025 – “Zumba for the Mind: Dancing Towards Mental Resilience”
Held at the ESPH Grounds, this energetic Zumba session engaged hospital staff in promoting physical fitness and mental well-being. The activity encouraged stress relief, a healthy lifestyle, and camaraderie among participants, reinforcing the importance of self-care and movement for mental health.

🗓️ May 7, 2025 – Lay Forum: “Lakas ng Loob, Tibay ng Isip”
Conducted at the ESPH Outpatient Department, this lay forum aimed to enhance mental health awareness among patients and their families.

Topics included:
🧠 Mental Health by Dr. Zuchi Mercado-Lim
🌿 Stress Relief by Dr. Czarina May Linasol Amago

The forum successfully fostered open dialogue, reduced stigma, and encouraged early recognition and help-seeking behavior for mental health concerns.

In line with the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) advocacy of promoting “Healthy Planet, Healthy People,” the Department of Family and Community Medicine joins the PAFP Special Interest Group (SIG) on Planetary Health in celebrating Earth Month and Earth Day 2025 with the global theme: “Our Power, Our Planet.”

To commemorate this important occasion, a Lay Forum was held last April 22, 2025 for ESPH Outpatient Department patients, featuring two timely and relevant health talks:

☀️ “Heat and Health” by Dr. Czarina May Linasol Amago – highlighting the effects of extreme heat on health and ways to protect vulnerable populations.

🌱 “Simple Ways to Be Climate Smart at Home” by Dr. Zuchi Mercado-Lim – offering practical, eco-conscious tips that can be applied in everyday household living.

Through simple yet meaningful actions and community education, we continue to empower individuals to become active stewards of both personal and planetary health. 💚🌏
