On September 22-24, 2025, the Municipal Health Office in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Barangay Magkalungay successfully conducted a Medical Outreach activity at Sitio Natampod, Pandarasdasan, Sil_angon Magkalungay. This initiative aimed to extend essential health services to residents living in this areas, ensuring that every member of the community has access to basic and preventive healthcare.
The outreach team was composed of a Rural Health Physician, nurses, midwives, barangay health workers (BHWs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS) and support volunteers. The team provided a variety of services, including free medical consultations, health assessments, blood pressure monitoring, nutritional evaluation for children, and the distribution of maintenance medicines for hypertension and other common illnesses. Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions were also conducted, focusing on proper nutrition, personal hygiene, maternal and child health, and disease prevention.
The Medical Outreach reflects the continued commitment of the Municipality of San Fernando to promote health equity and strengthen community-based healthcare. It reinforces the belief that health is a fundamental right, and that no one—regardless of location—should be left behind in accessing essential health services.
