The Central Mindanao University BIDANI Team officially conducts the 3-day Training at Barangay South Poblacion, Maramag, Bukidnon starting today, 05 May 2025.
Series of Training on Barangay Integrated Development Approach (BIDA), Barangay Management Information System (BMIS) and Participatory Nutrition Enhancement Approach (PNEA) facilitated by the BIDANI Team under the Capability Building Unit (CBU), Extension Office of CMU will be participated by the Punong Barangay, Barangay Secretary, Barangay Kagawad for Health and Sanitation, BNS, BHW, CDW and other representatives of the partner barangays.
05 May 2025 [Day 1 Highlights]
The Opening Program was held at the covered court of Barangay South Poblacion, Maramag. Bukidnon with Kagawad Amado Estrada Jr. giving the Opening Remarks in behalf of Barangay South Poblacion Punong Barangay, Hon. John Lester T. Tan.
The program started with the leveling of expectations was facilitated by Project Assistant, Mark Kearney Bernadas.
The CMU-BIDANI Project Leader, Emmanuel Pacheco Leaño, talked on the BIDANI as a Program Strategy, as an enabling mechanism for the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN for National Level and BPAN for Barangay Level). This was followed by Ms. Jocelyn S. Hernane, Training Specialist presenting the BIDANI Partnership Model.
A simple lunch was served for all the participants.
The session in the afternoon was resumed with the “Nutrition Cycle”lecture of Dr. Allene Mae N. Marapao, Study Leader 3 on PNEA at the Barangay Session Hall. This prepared the participants to identify and present their Nutritional Situation in their respective Barangay.
Training Specialist, Ms. Helen Panganiban gave a lecture on Modified Problem Tree and facilitated the Workshop Development on Problem Tree. Representatives from the different barangays presented their respective Problem Tree.
Mr. Reymlani P. Sullera, Training Specialist gave a task for the different committees in the barangay to list down their community problems on Agriculture and Fisheries, Education, Health and Nutrition, Peace and Order, Ways and Means, Environment, Culture/IP, Infrastructure, Youth, Women, Children, PWD, SC, and Livelihood as input for Day 2.
Day 1 concluded with the evaluation of the day’s activities.
