The new year doesn’t mean starting over.

For many CP families, it means continuing forward with strength most people never see.

It means carrying lessons from last year.
Celebrating progress that didn’t always look big from the outside.
And showing up again, even after hard days.

This year isn’t about catching up.
It’s not about comparison.
And it’s not about doing more than you already are.

It’s about honoring effort.
Recognizing growth.
And allowing progress to look exactly the way it needs to.

To every mom raising a child with Cerebral Palsy, and to every person living with Cerebral Palsy and family walking alongside them, this year belongs to you too.

If your child has Cerebral Palsy and you’ve ever wondered what happened during birth or early care, comment “YES.”
We’ll reach out with a free, no-cost case review to see if your child may qualify for compensation that could help with therapy, educational supports, equipment, long-term care, and future needs.

If this message resonates, share it to help someone start the year feeling understood, encouraged, and seen. 💚

Most people don’t realize this…
Cerebral Palsy can mask intelligence.

Many measures of learning and ability rely on speed, handwriting, speech, or quick physical responses.
But for someone with Cerebral Palsy, those areas may be affected by motor control, muscle tone, fatigue, or endurance.

That doesn’t reflect how much they understand.
It reflects how their body communicates.

A person may know the answer but need more time to respond.
They may understand complex concepts but struggle with written or verbal output.
They may be capable of more than tests or classrooms allow them to show.

When intelligence is measured through physical performance alone, many people with Cerebral Palsy are underestimated.

Understanding this changes expectations.
And expectations shape opportunity.

If your child has Cerebral Palsy and you’ve ever wondered what happened during birth or early care, comment “YES.”
We’ll reach out with a free, no-cost case review to see if your child may qualify for compensation that could help with therapy, educational supports, equipment, long-term care, and future needs.

Share this to help others understand why ability isn’t always accurately measured. 💚

Most people don’t realize this…

Speech delays in Cerebral Palsy don’t always mean language delays.

CP can make speaking physically harder.
It can affect motor planning and muscle control.
It can make words difficult to form, even when the mind is ready.

But none of that means a person with Cerebral Palsy isn’t understanding.
Or learning.
Or thinking deeply.

Many people with CP understand conversations fully.
They process language.
They have thoughts, opinions, emotions, and ideas.

Some communicate differently through gestures, AAC devices, expressions, or body language.
Some need more time to respond.
Some are underestimated simply because speech looks different.

But their comprehension?
Their awareness?
Their intelligence?

Those are very often still fully intact.

If your child has Cerebral Palsy and you’ve ever wondered what happened during birth, comment “YES.”
We’ll reach out with a free, no-cost case review to see if your child may qualify for compensation that could help with therapy, communication tools, long-term care, and future needs.

Share this to help more people understand Cerebral Palsy. 💚

Most people don’t realize how Cerebral Palsy affects the brain over time.
Not because they don’t care — but because CP is often misunderstood as something that stays “the same.”

Cerebral Palsy is non-progressive, meaning the original brain injury does not worsen.
But the effects can change as the brain and body develop.

The brain adapts.
Movement patterns shift.
Energy demands change.
Pain, fatigue, and support needs can look different at different stages of life.

This is why Cerebral Palsy never looks the same from one person to another —
and why it may look different for the same person over time.

CP is not static.
It is dynamic.
And understanding that matters.

If your child has Cerebral Palsy and you’ve ever wondered what happened during birth, comment “YES.”
We’ll reach out with a free, no-cost case review to see if your child may qualify for compensation that could help with therapy, equipment, long-term care, and future needs.

Share this to help more people understand Cerebral Palsy in a real, meaningful way.
