Last ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, the MaHFA Project welcomed a new batch of young researchers through the official introduction of its Graduate and Undergraduate Thesis Student Assistants (GTSAs and UTSAs). Led by Project Leader Dr. Jess Jumawan, this milestone marks another important step in advancing the project โMapping and Quantification of Habitat Fragmentation in Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary: A Preliminary Study in a Protected Wetland of the Philippines.โ
These dedicated student researchers are set to engage in landscape biodiversity and geospatial analysis, contributing meaningful insights into the wetland ecosystems of the Agusan Marsh Wildlife Sanctuary.
The students were also introduced to the projectโs strong collaborative network, which includes RCNASโUniversity of Santo Tomas, the National Museum of the Philippines, CCGeo, CSUโDepartment of Biology, and BioComp. Through this partnership, research and conservation efforts continue to support the protection of one of the Philippinesโ most important wetlands.
The future of conservation begins here. ๐ฟโจ
