Today is .

After more than two decades of progress, a future free of AIDS is within reach. Efforts by communities, governments, civil society, the private sector and global health partners have resulted in extraordinary progress in the fight to defeat AIDS. In 2024,

✅25.6 million people were on antiretroviral therapy for HIV.

✅46.6 million HIV tests were taken.

✅12.3 million people were reached with HIV prevention services.

✅648,000 mothers living with HIV received medicine to keep them alive and prevent transmitting HIV to their babies.

But decreasing international funding and intersecting crises pose a serious threat to hard-won progress.

Global progress hinges on the continued leadership of governments, civil society and the private sector, bold investment and innovations, and a shared commitment to ending AIDS and building a healthier future for all.
