Isinagawa ang VAWC Program na pinangunahan ni Ms. Jonalyn Leaño, kung saan tinalakay ang mahahalagang kaalaman tungkol sa Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) sa mga student leaders mula sa SSLG, YES-O, BKD, at Boys Scouts. Nilalayon ng programang ito na palawakin ang kaalaman ng mga mag-aaral hinggil sa iba’t ibang anyo ng karahasan, mga karapatan ng kababaihan at kabataan, at ang kahalagahan ng pag-iwas at pagtugon sa ganitong mga isyu.

Binigyang-diin sa talakayan na ang pagwawakas sa VAWC ay nagsisimula sa tamang kaalaman, paggalang sa karapatan ng bawat isa, at agarang pagtugon sa anumang uri ng karahasan. Ipinaliwanag ang kahalagahan ng pagsasalita at pag-uulat sa tamang awtoridad, pati na ang papel ng paaralan at komunidad sa pagbibigay ng proteksiyon at suporta sa mga biktima. Sa pamamagitan ng sama-samang pagkilos at paninindigan, maisusulong ang isang ligtas na kapaligiran na malaya sa karahasan

Pacris-Quitevis. The talk offered clear and practical ways to manage stress and stay grounded amid academic demands.

From handling pressure and improving concentration to practicing rest, mindfulness, and simple self-care habits, the symposium reminded students that balance is not a luxury—it’s a necessity. Every strategy shared aimed to help learners stay motivated, emotionally resilient, and kinder to themselves.

The event encouraged everyone to slow down, breathe, and choose wellness every day. Because when your mind is well, everything else follows.

Drive Smart, Arrive Safe 🚦 – Safety starts with you!
On September 10, 2025, the Candon City Police Station held a brief symposium on safe driving for students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 at Dr. Ricardo Gacula Memorial National High School. We are grateful that PLT Jovelyn R. Antalan visited the school and spoke as our guest speaker on this significant subject. Her team from the PIO/PCAD PCO of the Candon City Police Station also visited. The lecture highlighted the importance of children's safety on motorcycles, avoiding reckless driving, and being mindful of pedestrians and other motorists. Students were reminded that safe driving is not just for their own protection but also for the safety of everyone on the road. Never forget to drive safely, Gaculanians
