Rotary Club of Metro Roxas welcomes New Officers and Members for RY 2025-2026.
Roxas City, Capiz - as the rotary calendar flips to July as new Leadership Month, a transition took place as new set of officers and members sworn in during the 44th Induction and Handover Ceremonies on July 17, 2025 at San Antonio Resort, Baybay, Roxas City.
As outgoing President Ninfa Bascos ends her term she recognized and expressed her gratitude to every member for their vital contribution to the club likewise to our partners the Philippine National Red Cross Capiz Chapter and the Philippine College of Physicians- Aklan Capiz Chapters for their unwavering support.
The club also remembered Past District Governor Henry "Henz" Reyes who passed away last May 20, 2025 as his legacy remains in our hearts as one of the pillars of the Rotary Club of Metro Roxas. The Club presented to his family a Plaque of Recognition of his dedicated service not only to RC Metro Roxas but to Rotary Club International District 3850.
This Rotary Year, another lady president is on the lead! President Nema Acolentaba Diestro was officially inducted by Assistant Governor Ricky Molo during the event as Club President. She anchored her speech on this years' theme, UNITE FOR GOOD. As she said, " As your President, it is my goal too to gather and unite every member of our club for in the power of unity and collaboration will surely bring impact to better our communities and even to ourselves.
Subsequently, the Club welcomed 3 new new rotarians all in the field of government service namely Grace Borro, Razel Dominquez and Sandra Guardiana. They took their oath personifying Rotary's Motto, " Service Above Self" as PP Geri Asis did the role of charging the new members.
The event was graced by no other than the Honorable Mayor of Roxas City, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas who was the Guest Speaker. He stressed that his goals for Roxas City is align with the Rotary's goal to better the lives of those who have less. He urged that a strong partnership with other stakeholders like Rotary happens if we work together for good.
Governor Pip Acepcion was represented by Past District Governor Mark Ortiz and during his message he addressed the club of Governor's Pip priority focus -
P- promote rotary,
I - invigorate health and
P - protect the environment.
He encouraged all rotary clubs present to collaborate, act together, and implement impactful projects and show that rotary exists.
The presence and full support of all members, our guests, visiting rotarians, two PDGs in the house PDG Mark Ortiz and PDG Raphy Tayco, AG Ricky Molo, spouses and friends of rotary made the event more meaningful.
The event marks the commencement of 2025-2026 activities as the club continues to "Unite for Good."
