Working together to bring water to the community who needed it most. Thank you District 3850 for the jetmatic pumps thru the Rotary Club of Metro Roxas. It will ensure access to clean water for the 7 barangay recipients.

RCMR Cares: RC Metro Roxas joins the Capiz Police Provincial Office to its, " Collaborative Stakeholders' Forum: PNP Quick Response Strategies," with the theme: Strengthening community safety through unified action: Advancing PNP's Quick Response Strategies with Stakeholder collaboration. In behalf of the club, President Nema Diestro signed the Pledge of Commitment and Support to the PNP and its 5-minute Quick Response Strategies. It aims to uphold safety and security, dignity, respect for human rights, legitimacy of police operations and rapid response thus creating safer places to live, work and do business.

Rotary Club of Metro Roxas welcomes New Officers and Members for RY 2025-2026.

Roxas City, Capiz - as the rotary calendar flips to July as new Leadership Month, a transition took place as new set of officers and members sworn in during the 44th Induction and Handover Ceremonies on July 17, 2025 at San Antonio Resort, Baybay, Roxas City.

As outgoing President Ninfa Bascos ends her term she recognized and expressed her gratitude to every member for their vital contribution to the club likewise to our partners the Philippine National Red Cross Capiz Chapter and the Philippine College of Physicians- Aklan Capiz Chapters for their unwavering support.

The club also remembered Past District Governor Henry "Henz" Reyes who passed away last May 20, 2025 as his legacy remains in our hearts as one of the pillars of the Rotary Club of Metro Roxas. The Club presented to his family a Plaque of Recognition of his dedicated service not only to RC Metro Roxas but to Rotary Club International District 3850.

This Rotary Year, another lady president is on the lead! President Nema Acolentaba Diestro was officially inducted by Assistant Governor Ricky Molo during the event as Club President. She anchored her speech on this years' theme, UNITE FOR GOOD. As she said, " As your President, it is my goal too to gather and unite every member of our club for in the power of unity and collaboration will surely bring impact to better our communities and even to ourselves.

Subsequently, the Club welcomed 3 new new rotarians all in the field of government service namely Grace Borro, Razel Dominquez and Sandra Guardiana. They took their oath personifying Rotary's Motto, " Service Above Self" as PP Geri Asis did the role of charging the new members.

The event was graced by no other than the Honorable Mayor of Roxas City, Mayor Ronnie Dadivas who was the Guest Speaker. He stressed that his goals for Roxas City is align with the Rotary's goal to better the lives of those who have less. He urged that a strong partnership with other stakeholders like Rotary happens if we work together for good.

Governor Pip Acepcion was represented by Past District Governor Mark Ortiz and during his message he addressed the club of Governor's Pip priority focus -
P- promote rotary,
I - invigorate health and
P - protect the environment.
He encouraged all rotary clubs present to collaborate, act together, and implement impactful projects and show that rotary exists.

The presence and full support of all members, our guests, visiting rotarians, two PDGs in the house PDG Mark Ortiz and PDG Raphy Tayco, AG Ricky Molo, spouses and friends of rotary made the event more meaningful.

The event marks the commencement of 2025-2026 activities as the club continues to "Unite for Good."

BIG WIN for RCMR!

The Rotary Club of Metro Roxas garnered numerous awards during the District Convention (DISCON 2024) last March 21-23, 2024 at the Acacia Hotel in Bacolod City.

The club received the following recognitions:

1. Outstanding Club - Rotary Club of Metro Roxas
2. Outstanding President - Pres. Sylvia V. Dela Cruz
3. Exemplary Rotarian Award - Past Pres. Mary Geraldine P. Asis
4. Governor's Special Focus Award for Most Outstanding Service Project - "Special Advocacy on Mental Health"
5. District Outstanding Project in Education and Literacy - "Giving of Learning Materials to SPED of Pres. Manuel Roxas Memorial School"
6. Governor's Special Focus Award for Outstanding Service Project - "Mangrove Planting Project"
7. District Outstanding Public Image Award for "Best Public Image Ex*****on"
8. District Outstanding Service in Growing Local Economies - "Urban Garden Project"
9. Rotarians Loyalty Awardees - PP Charles Robles (40 years) and PP Rudolfo Beluso (40 years)

We also give recognition to PP Joey Dela Cruz for being appointed as Asst. Governor for Zone 4 for RY 2024-25. Likewise, PP Christopher Jordan Entona was chosen as Area 2 Representative (alternate) to the District Nominating Committee for RY 2024-25.

These achievements would not have been possible without the concerted efforts of all members and the unselfish support of our partners and benefactors.

We are proud to share these prestigious awards but we are prouder for we, the RCMR continue to share the beacon of hope to others especially to our project beneficiaries.

As your president, I am so grateful beyond words for all your support!
