PhilHealth Advisory on Maternity Benefit Coverage
Caramoran Municipal Hospital (CMH) wishes to inform our community that based on PhilHealth Circular No. 025-2015 (https://www.philhealth.gov.ph/circulars/2015/circ025-2015.pdf ), DELIVERIES CONDUCTED AT HOME (non-institutional deliveries) are NOT covered by PhilHealth.

To be eligible for PhilHealth maternity benefits, childbirth must take place in a PhilHealth Accredited Facility such as a hospital, infirmary, lying-in clinic, or maternity center.
β HOME BIRTHS are NOT REIMBURSABLE under PhilHealth, even if the mother is an active member.
HOWEVER , if the mother comes to the hospital for postpartum care after giving birth at home (placenta and baby out), she may still be covered under PhilHealth Case Code Z39.0 : Maternal Postpartum Care, with a benefit amount of β±2,730.
This benefit includes:
Postpartum health check
Wound care and vital signs monitoring
Breastfeeding support
General recovery follow-up
We also strongly encourage all pregnant women to have regular prenatal checkups before delivery. This helps detect any possible complications early and ensures a safe and healthy delivery for both mother and baby.
