The Samar Center for Developmental Pediatrics proudly participated in the ๐๐„๐ˆ๐‘๐ˆ๐ƒ๐ƒ๐ƒ๐„๐‚ ๐’๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ฆ ๐–๐จ๐ซ๐ค๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฉ organized by ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฌ, aimed at re-establishing a unified referral system for children with developmental delays.

This initiative will pilot the implementation of the PEIRIDDDEC approach in the municipality of ๐™๐ฎ๐ฆ๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐š๐ ๐š, ๐’๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ซ. PEIRIDDDEC stands for Prevention, Early Identification, Referral, and Intervention of Delays, Disorders, and Disabilities in Early Childhood.

In partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office, Provincial Health Office, Samar Provincial Hospital represented by its MNCHN or Maternal, Newborn, Child Health and Nutrition Program, and Zumarragaโ€™s Rural Health Unit, the activity brought together dedicated child advocates from barangay health workers to child development teachers to help strengthen and unify the support system for early childhood development.
