📣 Marso: Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month

Ang buwan ng Marso ay ginugunita bilang Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month upang palakasin ang kaalaman ng publiko tungkol sa pag-iwas, maagang pagtuklas, at tamang paggamot sa colorectal cancer.

Ang colorectal cancer ay uri ng kanser na nabubuo sa colon o re**um at kadalasang nagsisimula bilang maliit na polyp na maaaring maging cancer sa paglipas ng panahon.
Sa Pilipinas, ito ay kabilang sa mga pangunahing sanhi ng pagkamatay dahil sa cancer at mas karaniwang nakikita sa mga taong edad 50 pataas.

⚠️ Mga posibleng sintomas:
• Pagbabago sa pagdumi (diarrhea o constipation)
• Dugo sa dumi
• Pananakit ng tiyan
• Biglaang pagbaba ng timbang
• Panghihina o anemia

✅ Paano makaiwas?
• Kumain ng masustansya at mayaman sa fiber
• Mag-ehersisyo at panatilihin ang tamang timbang
• Iwasan ang paninigarilyo at labis na pag-inom ng alak
• Magpatingin sa doktor at magpasuri kung kinakailangan, lalo na kung edad 50 pataas

Tandaan: Ang maagang pagtuklas ng colorectal cancer ay makakatulong upang mas madaling magamot at makaligtas ang buhay.

• March 18 (Wed) – CSPEAR (125 athletes)
• March 19 (Thu) – CSPEAR (120 athletes)
• March 20 (Fri) – CAS
• March 23 (Mon) – CEIT (110 athletes)

All athletes are required to report on their assigned schedule. Colleges are advised to strictly follow the designated dates.

𝗥𝗲: 𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗚𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗦 𝗠𝗘𝗗𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

This is to inform all concerned that the University Games Medical Examination will officially commence on February 26, 2026.

𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗲:

The medical examination will be conducted over two (2) days per athlete:
Day 1: Laboratory Tests and X-ray
Day 2: Medical History Review, Physical Examination, and Signing of the Medical Certificate

The process will be implemented on a 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁-𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲, 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁- 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘀.

A maximum of 50 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 will be accommodated on the following dates:
▪️February 26, 2026 (7:30 am - 3 pm)
▪️March 2, 2026 ( 10 am - 3 pm)

After the dates indicated above, 50 to 100 athletes per day will be accommodated, subject to availability and processing capacity.

Please be advised that laboratory examination results will be released after 𝘁𝘄𝗼 (2) 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀.

All athletes are encouraged to arrive early and strictly adhere to the assigned procedures.

Please be informed that the Health Services Office will accommodate transactions today only until 12:00 noon to give way to the University Paskuhan 2025.

Additionally, there will be 𝗡𝗢 𝗧𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗦𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 tomorrow in observance of the University Health Services Year-End Review and thanksgiving. Only emergency cases will be accommodated.

🚨 FIRST AID SA HYPOTHERMIA SAKALING MATAGAL NA MABABAD SA ULAN AT HANGIN🚨

Kapag nakapansin ng senyales ng hypothermia o labis na panlalamig dahil sa pagkakababad sa ulan at malakas na hangin, agad na humingi ng tulong o tumawag sa National Emergency Hotline 911.

Habang naghihintay ng rescue, maaaring gawin ang mga sumusunod para maiwasan ang komplikasyon ng hypothermia.

Ayon sa DOST-PAGASA, inaasahang magla-landfall ang Typhoon Uwan sa katimugang bahagi ng Isabela o hilagang bahagi ng Aurora bukas ng gabi o Lunes ng madaling araw.

Kasalukuyan ding nasa Typhoon category ito ngunit inaasahang lalakas pa at magiging ganap na super typhoon sa mga susunod na oras.

Sa mga ganitong panahon, tumataas ang panganib ng pagkakasakit. Dahil dito, mahalagang tiyakin na may handa at kumpletong medicine kit ang bawat tahanan para agad matugunan ang mga simpleng karamdaman.

Buuin ang medicine kit na parte ng inyong Emergency Go Bag!
✅ Siguruhing ang gamot ay hindi pa expired at walang discoloration
✅ Dapat walang sira ang packaging ng mga gamot
✅ Ilagay sa matibay na lalagyan na hindi madaling mabasa o masira
