Today, we celebrate the 32nd Anniversary of the Cebu Heart Institute (CHI) - three decades of precision, dedication, and life-saving care. From the first test to every breakthrough since, each year reflects a commitment to accurate diagnosis, compassionate service, and healthier hearts.

Commemorating the anniversary, CHI offered free services as consultation, uric and blood sugar tests and ECG (for those with indication only). Free medicines were also given to eligible individuals along with food and beverages. A free zumba workout was also arranged to the delight of the doctors, patients and personnel of the hospital.

Hereโ€™s to the skilled hands, sharp minds, and caring hearts behind every procedureโ€”and to many more years of advancing cardiac care, one heartbeat at a time.

World Day of the Sick is a gentle reminder that healing is more than recoveryโ€”it is compassion felt, kindness shared, and hope restored. Observed every February 11, this day calls us to see the person behind the illness and to listen with empathy and care.

It is a moment to honor patients for their strength, families for their quiet courage, and healthcare workers for their tireless dedication and healing touch. In every prayer offered, every hand held, and every act of service, love becomes a powerful medicine.

Taking the lead of the meeting were Cebu Cancer Institute's (CCI), Dr. Arnold John Uson, Department Chairman, Dr. Jemela Anne Sanchez, Department Co-Chairman, Dr. Mark Ando, Department Training Officer and the CCI Staff.

As experts and innovators in the healthcare industry, the visit of the Japanese Oncologists proved to be a fruitful one. CCI, one of the Centers of Excellence of PSH, has never wavered in its pursuit to service excellence. Forging ahead, CCI now has an

Dr. Charles Tan, the Nuclear Medicine Department Chairman, gave an overview of the services that the department offers to its patients. Ms. Jules Lim and Ms. Georgia Kent from Siemens Healthineers, demonstrated how efficient the machine is and how it can effectively help the doctors with the diagnosis of their patients.
