The Sinulog Festival 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most vibrant and diverse celebrations yet, as contingents from across the Philippines unite in honor of Señor Santo Niño. ONE LAST GOODBYE
Gilubong na karon ang mga biktima sa 6.9-magnitude nga linog nga miigo sa Barangay Binabag, Bogo City. Sa kasakit ug kalumo sa kasingkasing, pamilya ug higala nagtapok aron ihatag ang ilang katapusang pahulay sa mga nawad-an sa kinabuhi.

Ang New Corazon Cemetery nahimong hilum nga saksi sa mga luha, pag-ampo, ug mga pulong nga puno sa paghandom ug gugma.

HOW CEBUANOS RISE TOGETHER: The Spirit of BAYANIHAN That NEVER BREAKS!

In moments of disaster, Cebu once again proves that unity and compassion will always triumph over tragedy.

When the 6.7-magnitude earthquake struck Bogo City and parts of Northern Cebu, countless homes were damaged, and lives were disrupted. Yet amid the dust and debris, one thing stood firm, the unbreakable spirit of the Cebuanos.

From Southern Cebu, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue, and Talisay, volunteers and private individuals didn’t think twice. They packed goods, loaded their cars, and journeyed north to deliver relief, water, food, clothes, and comfort.

But what truly moved everyone’s hearts was what happened next.

As the volunteers passed through the northern towns, residents stood by the roadside holding handmade signs that read:

> “Daghang Salamat sa inyong tabang diri sa Norte.”
“Libre nga bibingka para sa volunteers.”
“Free juice, free ice candy, free CR.”

Despite being victims themselves, they found ways to give back, offering warmth, gratitude, and the simplest form of kindness. Their gestures, though small, carried immense meaning: a thank-you from those who have so little, yet give so much.

This beautiful exchange is not new to Cebu.
📍 During Typhoon Yolanda (2013) – Southern Cebu and the cities extended help to the north.
📍 During Typhoon Odette (2021) – It was Northern Cebu’s turn to aid the south and central areas.
📍 Now, after the Bogo Earthquake (2025) – The cycle of compassion continues, proving that true bayanihan knows no boundaries.

Time and again, Cebu shows the world what it means to stand together, that in every calamity, hope rises higher than the ruins.

To every volunteer, every donor, and every grateful heart who shared a simple smile or a small act of kindness, you are the reason Cebu keeps rising. ❤️

“Ang Bahay na Itinayo ng Pangarap”

(Isang Kwento ng totoong buhay)

Ang bahay na ito… isa lang ito sa mga nasira ng lindol sa Cebu.
Kung titingnan mo, para lang siyang karaniwang bahay na may bitak at sira.
Pero sa likod niyan, may kwento, kwento ng isang taong nagsakripisyo ng labing-apat na taon ng kanyang buhay, para lang matupad ang pangarap na magkaroon ng sariling bahay para sa pamilya.

Araw-araw siyang nagtrabaho. Tiniis ang init, pagod, at gutom, lahat para lang sa isang pangarap.
At noong natapos na, tuwang-tuwa siya. Moderno, maganda, tatlong palapag, bunga ng kanyang pawis at sakripisyo.

Pero dumating ang lindol.
Isang iglap lang.
Nawala ang lahat.

Ngayon, ang dating matatag na bahay ay puno na ng bitak. Ang dingding na dati niyang ipinagmamalaki, ngayon ay halos gumuho na.
Labing-apat na taong pinaghirapan, naglaho sa loob ng ilang segundo.

At doon niya na-realize…
Lahat ng bagay dito sa mundo ay pansamantala lamang.
Wala tayong tunay na pag-aari.
Kahit anong ipundar natin, bahay, lupa, pera kung gugustuhin ng Diyos na mawala, mawawala ito.

Kaya sana, habang may oras pa tayo, matuto tayong magpakumbaba.
Huwag maging sakim, huwag makipag-away dahil lang sa lupa o kayamanan.
Dahil sa huli, sa lupa rin naman tayo babalik.

Ang may-ari ng bahay ay hindi humihingi ng awa.
Ang nais lang niyang iparating ay ito:

> “Ang bahay, kaya kong itayo muli. Pero ang pananampalataya at kababaang-loob, ‘yan ang ayokong mawala.”

Kaya sana, sa bawat bitak na makikita natin, maalala natin na ang tunay na yaman ay hindi nasusukat sa laki ng bahay o dami ng pera, kundi sa laki ng puso at pananampalatayang dala natin sa bawat araw ng ating buhay. 🙏
