MAGROW MPC is a Multi Purpose Cooperative that was initially organized by banana growers servicing Stanfilco, a Dole Philippines subsidiary company. These farmers, many of whom were poor and had little know-how in the industry, were then able to maximize their produce and income, and develop their knowledge and skills through the cooperative. Through more than 26 years of teamwork and effort, the cooperative has put up a chain of business activities, such as manpower provision, trading centers and savings and credit operations. Consequently, the coop has become a main economic contributor in the Municipality of Maragusan. The once remote, swampy and conflict zone town is now a progressive and thriving community where local and outside investors are actively engaged in their respective businesses. Maragusan Growers Multi Purpose Cooperative continues to strive to become a world-class cooperative that provides its members excellent products and services tailored to fit their needs.
MAGROW MPC is committed to improve the quality of life of its members and their families; provide satisfactory return on memberโs investment; deliver significant market-driven, competitive, and environmentally friendly products and services; and initiate and sustain economic and social transformation, as well as environmental preservation in the Municipality of Maragusan and Compostela Valley Province.
