RVBSP PILOTED THE MOMENTOUS “FIRST BANGSAMORO DUGTONG BUHAY AWARD”

COTABATO CITY – The Regional Voluntary Blood Services Program (RVBSP) of the Ministry of Health-BARMM recently conducted it’s First Bangsamoro Dugtong Buhay Award at Alnor Convention Center, Cotabato City on December 18, 2024.

This recognition of awardees serve as a platform to recognize and celebrate the outstanding efforts of Local Government Units (LGU), Government Agencies (GAS), Non- Government Organizations (NGO), Blood Service Facilities (BSF), Blood Collecting Units (BCU), Blood Center (BC) and individuals involved in promoting and facilitating blood donation that symbolizes integrity and good performance. Thus, it serves as a continuing challenge to surpass the achievements for the year and in the years to come.

The event was graced by the significant guests, Dr. Sherjan P. Kalim, Head of Regional Blood Center, Harris P. Ali, MD, MPH, OIC-City Health Officer Cotabato City Health Office, Pancho A. Cruz, MD, Medical Officer II, SGA-BARMM, and Ma. Melinda Elaine V. Barcimo, OIC-General Manager Metro Cotabato Water District.

Cotabato City Health is awarded as the Top Performing LGU, Whilst IPHO-Maguindanao is awarded as the Top Performing Province. Top Performing Barangays in Cotabato City are, Rosary Heights 11, Tamontaka Mother, Rosary Heights 7, and Mother Barangay Rosary Heights. Special Award is given to Poblacion IV, and Poblacion V. Non LGU awardees in Cotabato City is given to Metro Cotabato Water District (MCWD), Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Mother Francisca Birthing Home, Civil Service-BARMM (CSC-BARMM), Knights of Colombus Mother Kalanganan (KOC-MB KALANGANAN). Maguindanao Province awardees are Shariff Aguak Municipality, Datu Abdullah Sangki, and Datu Piang. Maguindanao Barangay Local Government Units award is given to Barangay Pob.2, Parang, Maguindano Del Norte, and Barangay Bugabungan, South Upi. Non LGU in Maguindanao Province awardees are PNP PROBAR, Camp Siongco Station Hospital, Lamsan Company, 9th Field Artillery Batallion, Pigcalagan, Cotabato Sanitarium and General Hospital. In Lanao, Wao Municipality gained the top performing award in their province. In SGA, Kapalawan Municipality, Tugunan, Malidegao, Nabalawag, Kadayangan, Pahammudin garnered the top municipality award.

Ibrahim recognized and conveyed their bliss to all the awardees, and esteemed guests, as well as the Health Minister Dr. Kadil “Jojo” Sinolinding Jr., DPBO for showing his support for the overall success of the program.

88 Heroes Huddled at MCWD Bloodletting Activity!

Cotabato City, November 27, 2024 - A wave of generosity swept through the Metro Cotabato Water District (MCWD) compound today as 88 people participated in a mobile blood donation activity!

The MCWD, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health-BARMM's Regional Voluntary Blood Services Program and other esteemed partners, hosted this successful event. Staff from MCWD, members of the Cotabato State University Chapter Kutangbato Council, Cotabato City State Polytechnic College Batch 87, Notre Date of Cotabato BOYS & GIRLS Batch 1988 and 1992, Saint Benedict College of Cotabato Chapter, Rotaract Club Cotabato East, Cotabato Host Lions Club,, and men in uniform all rolled up their sleeves to answer the call for blood donation.

"On behalf of Minister MP Kadil Sinolinding, MD, we are incredibly grateful to the MCWD for leading this initiative," shared Program Coordinator Nudin S. Amil from the Regional Voluntary Blood Services Program.

This event not only replenishes our vital blood bank, but also serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of giving back to our community.

The bloodletting activity, supported by the Ministry of Health, Cotabato Health Office, Cotabato Regional Medical Center (CRMC), and MGBI, aimed to raise awareness about blood donation and encourage more people to become heroes for those in need.
