Good Morning Everyone we are Group 5. Today, we are excited to share with you the beauty and importance of Filipino traditional game (Luksong Lubid)

Course, Year, and Block: BPED 2A

Luksong Lubid is more than just a simple childhood pastime it is a symbol of Filipino culture, friendship, and active living. With only a rope and a group of friends, this traditional game brings laughter, excitement, and healthy competition. It strengthens the body by improving balance, coordination, and endurance, while also teaching teamwork and cooperation. Unlike modern entertainment that keeps us sitting for hours, Luksong Lubid encourages us to move, interact, and build real connections. It reminds us that happiness does not always come from expensive gadgets, but from shared moments and simple joys.

In today’s world where many people are glued to their phones and screens, it is important to step outside and reconnect with meaningful activities. Too much gadget use can affect our health and limit our social interaction, but playing Luksong Lubid helps us stay physically active and mentally refreshed. Let us choose to preserve our traditions instead of letting them fade away. Put down your phone, gather your friends, and experience the fun and excitement of jumping together. By continuing to play Luksong Lubid, we keep our culture alive and prove that sometimes, the simplest games create the strongest memories.

TARA, LARO TAYO!

Good day everyone! We are Group 3. We would like to introduce to you a traditional game named 'Tumbang Preso'.

Tumbang Preso is a traditional Filipino game where an 'It' (taya) guards a tin can inside a circle, while other players ('hitters') throw slippers (pamato) from a toe-line to knock it down. The main goal is to retrieve your slipper after knocking the can down, and get back to the toe-line without being tagged by the 'It' – if the can is standing, the 'It' can tag players.
