We will not rest on our laurels! Let us not forget the reason of our crusade and advocacies, our Patients and the General Public. Let us be mindful that health is not mere the absence of disease hence as we go beyond the four corners of our traditional roles, we spearhead the call to universal care and wellbeing! We will continue to grow as One PPhA, no Pharmacist will be left behind. We remain the most trusted and most accessible health-care provider and reputation and competence will never be tarnished!

Allow us to express our sincerest gratitude to Sir Joseph Rañola the OIC Assistant Regional Director of the Department of Trade and Industry for Region V for gracing our webinar as one of our Resource Speakers.

Sir Joseph, your lecture provided valuable insights into the rights and protections afforded to consumers when it comes to the return and exchange of medicines.

The detailed explanation of the relevant provisions under the Consumer Act, coupled with practical examples, helped me gain a better understanding of the processes involved and the steps consumers can take to ensure their rights are upheld.

Additionally, the discussion on price freeze during a state of calamity shed light on the measures in place to protect consumers from unscrupulous price gouging and exploitation. Your explanation of the legal framework and the responsibilities of both the government and businesses in maintaining fair pricing practices during such times was both enlightening and empowering. As the Philippines faces another emerging health emergency with the very first case of monkeypox, it is imperative that we arm ourselves of reliable facts. This disease presents as a two-horned dilemma... the first horn being the disruption of the physiologic status of the individual and the latter the social stigma that surrounds the infected.

We are now into a new age where we are more patient-sensitive, more aware of the patient's mental health and that ethical principles are kept in the highest consideration. Let us not discriminate patients with monkeypox but rather support and pray for their speedy recovery.

Together, fellow Pharmacists let's dispel misinformation.
