Bago Gallera Disaster Risk Reduction and Management

Our Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Bago Gallera has completed the 5-day Tri-Skills Technical Response Training held last June 2–6, 2025, and is now officially certified by the Bureau of Fire Protection as a Barangay Fire Brigade! 🔥🚒

A total of 19 participants completed the course, gaining essential skills in fire safety and emergency response.

We extend our deepest thanks to BFP Talomo and BFP SRF for facilitating the training, and to BDRRMC Talomo and BDRRMC Lizada for generously lending their fire truck during the Firefighting training and Simulation Exercises.

We are also sincerely grateful to SK Chairperson Hon. Rhea Mae Gervacio and Barangay Captain Hon. Engr. Rey Gervacio, thank you for your continuous support of the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC).

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the Sangguniang Kabataan Council for assisting the trainees and ensuring that all five days of training were well-provided with food; your support truly helped keep everyone energized and focused.

This accomplishment strengthens our community's commitment to disaster preparedness, response, and public service.

DECLARING THE LIFTING OF THE SUSPENSION OF IN-PERSON CLASSES FROM KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 12 IN ALL PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN DAVAO CITY AFTER THE CONDUCT OF RAPID DAMAGE ASSESSMENT OF INFRASTRUCTURES AND FACILITIES FOLLOWING THE MAGNITUDE 6.9 EARTHQUAKE ON DECEMBER 2, 2023 AND SUBSEQUENT AFTERSHOCKS

NOW THEREFORE, I, SEBASTIAN Z. In-person classes from Kindergarten to Grade 12, including the Alternative Learning System (ALS), in ALL public elementary and secondary schools in Davao City are hereby suspended and shall shift to blended learning modality (modular or online) on Wednesday, December 6 until further notice.

PRIVATE schools are given the discretion to suspend in-person classes and shift to blended learning modality, but are encouraged to do so for the safety of the students and employees.

This is for the continuation of the conduct of rapid damage assessment of infrastructures and facilities and given the subsequent aftershocks being felt in Davao City.
