Dear colleagues, friends, and partners,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 33rd POA Mid-Year Convention and the Philippine Orthopedic Association – South Mindanao Chapter, allow me to express our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you—delegates, fellows, guests, and industry partners—for making this gathering a remarkable success.
From April 30 to May 3, 2025, the halls of the Grand Ballroom at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Davao City echoed with insights, energy, and shared purpose. Under the theme “HOTSPOT: Honing Our Technique in Solving Orthopedic Trauma,” we explored the challenging terrain of complex orthopedic trauma. Through high-impact lectures, dynamic discussions, and real-world case presentations, we honed our skills and deepened our commitment to excellence in orthopedic care.
Beyond the lectures, we strengthened our camaraderie—whether on the sports field or during our Top Gun–themed fellowship night. These moments reminded us that while knowledge fuels us, it is our unity as a ONE orthopedic family that gives our profession its heartbeat.
We hope you had the chance to savor the flavors of Davao, marvel at its landscapes, and experience the warmth and hospitality that define this corner of the Philippines. We are truly honored to have welcomed you here.
A few words of sincere appreciation are in order:
• To our Organizing Committee and the POA–Southmin Chapter—your dedication, perseverance, and teamwork brought this convention to life.
• To our industry partners—thank you for standing by our community and championing its progress.
• To our esteemed speakers and faculty—we are grateful for your time, wisdom, and presence.
• To our fellows and delegates—your engagement, curiosity, and spirit made every session worthwhile.
• To the POA Board of Trustees, led by Dr. JAC Pimentel—your unwavering support ensured we had the tools and guidance to succeed.
• To our partners at the PBO, led by Adrian Catbagan—thank you for connecting us with the future of orthopedic training and innovation.
• To our partners at Zegen Management Group, led by Candice and Anna—thank you for making this hosting efficient, seamless and amazing.
Together, we didn’t just hold a convention—we created an experience, one marked by learning, laughter, and lasting connections. And for that, I say: thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
Let us carry this momentum forward. Let us keep learning, keep collaborating, and keep building the orthopedic community we all believe in.
Until we meet again—Padayon, daghang salamat and mabuhay!
