Discover Dolores HOME OF GREAT LEADERS Dolores is a 5th class municipality in the province of Abra. A serene town in the northern part of Luzon. of alienable and disposable land.

A spanish word that means "a place surrounded by mountains." Its pristine charm, however, is just one of the things that endear this town to inhabitants and visitors alike. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 9,949 people in 2,106 households. Dolores is politically subdivided into 15 barangays. The municipality of Dolores has 1,129.78 Has. of forestland, has a 50.0 Has of plantation, 1,079.78 Has. of brushland/ grassland/ open areas and 2,510.22 Has. Some of the infrastructures that can be found in Dolores are; school, clinic, concrete and asphalt road, bridges, water irrigations, and transportation facilities. Electricity and Telecommunication is also present in available in Dolores. The place climate is characterized by 2 distinct seasons. The dry season, which occurs from November to April, is marked by daily blue skies and clear starry nights and the wet season for the rest of the year with high rainfall intensities accompanied by storms and typhoons.
