As part of World TB Day Celebration, HRH Esperanza conducted series of PuroKalusugan Activities to different Barangays of the Municipality and rendered Information Dessemination on Tuberculosis, its causes, effects and prevention.

This activity aims to raise public awareness about the devastating health, social and economic consequences of tuberculosis (TB) and to step up efforts to end the global TB epidemic.

TBDOTS and RHU Esperanza commemorate World Tuberculosis Day with the aim to raise awareness about the symptoms of TB, its transmission, and how to prevent it.

World Tuberculosis Day observed annually on March 24 which amplifies the urgency of ending tuberculosis—the world’s deadliest infectious disease. Tuberculosis continues to devastate millions globally, inflicting severe health, social, and economic consequences. This year’s theme, Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver, is a bold call for hope, urgency, and accountability.

Activities Conducted:

🦠 IEC on Tuberculosis, TPT, Diagnosis & Treatment
🦠 PPD Testing to Children Contacts of People with Tuberculosis

Ikaw ba ay exposed sa patienting positibo ng TB? Wag mag alala, pwede ka ng uminom ng TPT o TB Preventive Therapy para hindi mahawa ng TB o madevelop sa Active TB. Available po sa RHU Esperanza TB DOTS Center ang TPT. Pumunta lamang Monday- Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Close contacts may receive preventive treatment (like TPT) to avoid developing active TB.It is important to break transmission by tracing contacts to stop the spread in high-risk areas like homes, workplaces, and schools.

Posible na ikaw ay makaranas ng mga side effects gaya ng:
1.pangangati ng balat,
2.kawalan ng gana kumain,
3.pamamanhid ng paa, at iba pa.

Ito ay panandalian lamang at di kailangan ikabahala. Importanteng ipaalam sa iyong health service provider ang iyong mga nararamdaman upang malunasan ito kaagad.

TBInfoShare: PAANO BA NAGKAKAROON NG TB ANG ISANG TAO?

Ang TB ay naipapasa kung ang isang tao ay makalanghap ng mikrobyo ng TB na nasa hangin galing sa ubo o bahing ng taong may TB.

Ang TB-DOTS o Tutok Gamutan ang pinakamabisang paraan para magamot ang TB. Kailangan lamang ng di bababa sa 6 buwang tuloy-tuloy na gamutan. Iinumin ang mga gamot para sa TB araw-araw sa gabay ng health service provider. Importanteng hindi mahinto ang gamutan upang hindi umabot sa pagiging drug resistant ang TB (DR-TB), dahil magiging mas matagal ang gamutan (hanggang 24 na buwan) o maging dahilan ng iyong pagkamatay.

Kung hindi pa nagagamot, kayang makahawa ng 10 iba lang mga tao ang isang taong my TB.

Kapag umubo, bumahing, dumura o nagsalita ang isang taong may aktibong sakit na TB, sumasama sa hangin ang bakteria at pwedeng malanghap ng ibang tao sa bahay o trabaho.

>6 na buwang tuloy-tuloy na gamutan
>Inumin ang mga gamot para sa TB araw-araw sa gabay ng Health Service Provider
>Importanteng hindi mahinto ang gamutan upang hindi umabot sa pagiging drug resistant ang TB (MDR-TB)
