And he wrote thirty.
There is a family living in a cardboard box
And they wrote thirty.
My father left to till the soil in a foreign country
And he wrote thirty.
Hundreds, or maybe even thousands of
employees ride the MRT everyday
And they all wrote thirty.
Back in my province, everyone writes the same
name in the same ballots
And they all wrote thirty.
My aunt took some pills while our veiled
neighbors gossiped about it
And they all wrote thirty.
A young lady left a building while carefully
concealing her school uniform in her bag
And she wrote thirty.
My guy friend who has a boyfriend was rejected
at a job interview
And he wrote thirty.
The people lining up for the noontime show
were instructed to smile and clap
And they wrote thirty.
Our public market looked glum beside the
newly-constructed mall
And it wrote thirty.
My favorite professor went to teach in a private
institution
And she wrote thirty.
Farmers work their asses off on lands that they
don’t own
And they wrote thirty.
It’s not surprising that you see a former cop or
starlet often in May
And everybody writes thirty.
I never hear the truth in the news
So I will always write thirty.
Clones are occupying the high seats
And they will never write thirty.
