Short video of a patient who was recently admitted due to severe flank pain and bloody urine. The patient underwent endoscopic removal of the stone (no incision) using pnematic lithotripsy and was sent home the day after surgery. Just in time for the holiday celebrations!

Mag ingat po tayo palagi kasi ang sakit ay hindi nagpapahinga! Konting ingat lang sa pagkain at sa inuman sa mga handaan! Maligayang pasko sa lahat at manigong bagong taon! Amping pirmi!

Ang pag ihi ng tao ay importante para mailabas ang dumi natin sa katawan. Nilalabas nito ang “waste products” na nalinis ng ating bato o “kidneys”.

Nagbabalanse rin ito ng tubig sa katawan. Kapag napainom ka ng marami, iihi ka para malabas ang sobrang tubig sa katawan. Kapag “dehydrated” ka naman at kulang sa tubig, makikitang kakaunti or madilaw ang lumalabas na ihi.

Importante ang pagihi upang manatili ang kalusugan ng tao. Ito ang nagsisilbing gabay na maayos at gumagana ang ating katawan.

Kung mayroong problema sa pag ihi, ugaliing magpatingin agad sa pinakamalapit na Urologist or Nephrologist.

Yung nasa larawan ay ang “Manneken Pis”, isang istatwa ng batang umiihi. Dinadamitan ito depende sa panahon. Pinagkakaguluhan siya dito so nagpapicture na rin ako. 😆

Eto ang robot mannequin na sasalubong sayo sa IRCAD building. Maganda ito kasi gawa ito sa recycled materials na ginagamit sa laparoscopic and robotic surgery (staplers, trocars, lap instruments, pumps, etc). Realistic kasi may dalawang🥚🥚 na blue 🤭

Bladder training is not what you think! Modern evidence-based practice does not recommend clamping the catheter prior to removal. Clamping not only fails to reduce urinary retention or recatheterization, but also increases the risk of UTI and delays the first void. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a neurogenic bladder, OB, orthopedic, or colorectal case — all RCTs and meta-analyses show no benefit. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bonjour! Nandito po tayo ngayon sa IRCAD Training and Research Center sa Strasbourg, France para mag aral at maging bihasa pa lalo sa laparoscopic urologic surgery! Kasama ko rin dito ay mga kapwa Urologist sa ibat ibang parte ng Pilipinas. (Dr Magno, Dr Macalisang, Dr Seno, Dr Hipolito and Dr Enojo)! Sana ay marami tayong matutunan dito at madala na aral pabalik ng Pilipinas!
