PHILHEALTH YAKAP PROFILING I Barangay San Roque

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, MD, successfully conducted the PhilHealth YAKAP Profiling at Barangay San Roque as part of its continuing effort to bring healthcare services closer to the community, especially to senior citizens.

A total of 156 senior citizens were profiled and assisted in identifying their eligibility under the PhilHealth YAKAP Program. Through this initiative, beneficiaries were informed about the healthcare services and benefits that they may avail, including free outpatient consultations, selected laboratory services, and medicines through accredited healthcare providers.

The activity also aimed to strengthen awareness regarding the importance of PhilHealth membership and ensure that more senior citizens will have access to quality and affordable healthcare services. Participants were guided accordingly regarding their membership concerns and the available benefits under the program.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I extends its heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Percy Martir, the Barangay Council, and the Senior Citizens of Barangay San Roque for their support, cooperation, and active participation which contributed to the success of the activity. The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, MD, successfully conducted the PhilHealth YAKAP Profiling for teachers at Buenavista National High School as part of its continuous effort to strengthen healthcare access and promote the welfare of educators in the community.

During the activity, teachers were profiled and assisted in identifying their eligibility under the PhilHealth YAKAP Program. The program aims to provide accessible and affordable healthcare services, including free outpatient consultations, selected laboratory services, and medicines through accredited healthcare providers.

An orientation regarding the PhilHealth YAKAP Program was conducted by Mr. Aldee Gaitan, PhilHealth YAKAP Point Person of the PhilHealth Guimaras Satellite Office. He discussed the objectives, benefits, and importance of the program, as well as the healthcare services that members may avail under PhilHealth YAKAP. Teachers were also given the opportunity to raise questions and clarify concerns regarding their PhilHealth membership and benefits.

Medical consultation and issuance of medical certificates were also provided during the activity to further support the healthcare needs of the participating teachers. In addition, teachers who are registered under Buenavista Primary Care Facility I were able to avail laboratory services, medical consultation, and selected medicines under the PhilHealth YAKAP Program free of charge.

As part of the health promotion initiative, Ms. Frenzy Mae Ardenio, HEPO Assistant, also handed over localized IEC materials to Mr. Darrel De Los Santos, School Nurse of Buenavista National High School. The distribution of these localized information, education, and communication materials aims to strengthen health awareness within the school community by providing accessible and easy-to-understand information on various health programs and services. Through these materials, students, teachers, and school personnel will be more informed about preventive healthcare, PhilHealth benefits, healthy lifestyle practices, and other important public health concerns. This initiative further highlights the importance of collaboration between the health and education sectors in promoting a healthier and more informed community.

The activity served as an avenue to increase awareness and encourage teachers to maximize the healthcare services available to them through PhilHealth. Teachers who are not yet registered or who need assistance with their membership were also guided accordingly.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote better healthcare access and social health protection for every sector of the community, especially for educators who play a vital role in shaping the future generation.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, successfully conducted the Buntis Ligtas Day activity last May 15, 2026, at the Buenavista Primary Care Facility I Conference Hall. The activity gathered pregnant women from the municipality to promote safe motherhood, maternal wellness, and accessible health services for every expectant mother.

The program featured a series of informative health discussions from distinguished speakers. Dr. Vivian Flores served as the speaker for the Maternal Health Session, sharing important information and guidance for healthy pregnancy and safe delivery. Meanwhile, Mr. Aldee Gaitan discussed the PhilHealth benefits available for pregnant women, helping participants better understand the health services and assistance they may avail through PhilHealth.

In line with the observance of HIV/AIDS awareness, Ms. May Pearl Amboy discussed HIV/AIDS awareness followed by a meaningful candle-lighting ceremony. Furthermore, Mrs. Jasmin Yap conducted discussions on newborn screening and post-partum care for women and children, emphasizing the importance of proper care for both mother and baby after childbirth.

The activity also included PhilHealth registration services conducted by the PhilHealth team headed by Mr. Raul Sebastian Belita III, as well as PHIC registration facilitated by the Buenavista Primary Care Facility I PhilHealth YAKAP Team headed by Engr. Resty M. Ferrer.

Free healthy snacks were also provided to the pregnant women participants as part of promoting proper nutrition and healthy pregnancy.

The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I extends its heartfelt gratitude to all participants, speakers, partner agencies, and everyone who contributed to the success of the activity. The Buenavista Primary Care Facility I, headed by Dr. Grace F. Cortez, Municipal Health Officer, successfully conducted “Misyon para sa Buenavistahanon” at Barangay Magsaysay, Buenavista, Guimaras.

This activity is part of the continuous effort to bring essential health services closer to the community, ensuring that every Buenavistahanon has access to quality and responsive primary health care.

Services rendered during the mission included:

✔️ Photo consent for PhilHealth
✔️ PhilHealth profiling

Tuwing Mayo ay ginugunita ang Road Safety Month upang paigtingin ang kamalayan ng publiko sa kahalagahan ng kaligtasan sa kalsada. Sa pamamagitan ng kampanyang “BiyaHero Tayo,” hinihikayat ang lahat na gawing ligtas ang bawat biyahe sa pamamagitan ng tamang pagsusuot ng helmet at seatbelt.

Siguraduhing DTI-approved at tamang sukat ang helmet, habang ang lahat ng pasahero ay dapat naka-seatbelt nang maayos, kabilang ang mga nasa likurang upuan. Ang simpleng pag-iingat ay malaking hakbang upang makaiwas sa malubhang pinsala at aksidente sa kalsada.

Maging responsableng motorista at pasahero. Sa bawat biyahe, piliin ang kaligtasan dahil bawat buhay ay mahalaga.

Ipinagdiriwang ngayong Mayo ang Hypertension Awareness Month upang bigyang-diin ang panganib ng mataas na presyon ng dugo. Ang hypertension ay madalas na walang nararamdamang sintomas, kaya mahalaga ang regular na pag-monitor ng blood pressure. Ugaliin ang TED o Tamang pagkain, Ehersisyo, at Disiplina at huwag kalimutang inumin ang maintenance na gamot upang makaiwas sa malalang komplikasyon.

Huwag hayaang maging huli ang lahat dahil ang pag-iingat sa puso ay pag-iingat sa buhay.

Maaaring magtungo sa inyong lokal na Health Center upang magpa-check ng presyon at makakuha ng payong medikal. Bisitahin din ang opisyal na website at mga social media page ng DOH para sa iba pang impormasyon.
